Protesting Florida pastor burning the Quorn

I'm not sure what he thinks he'll accomplish but if he wants to burn 'em far be it from me to tell him no.

Part of living in the USA is the freedom to do stupid stuff whether it's burning a flag or the Koran.

Toss a few Bibles on the fire, too.

It's like he's against fungus, or something. Well God made fungus, no matter what you personally call it in your belief system.

What an idiot. Even General Petraeus, Glenn Beck, Haley Barbour and Mitt Romney told him this was a stupid idea.

The only politician to vaguely support him at all was Mike Bloomberg--and he only did it to make a point.

He'll be wondering what happened when he staring at his church as it goes up in flames.

I never thought I would ever agree with NAMO but this guy needs to be put in a padded cell & the key thrown away

Free speech does not give you the right to yell fire in a crowded theater. This event will serve no purpose other than inflaming the situation. mayor Mike is a tower of indecision.Everyone is condemning it but he comes along with his platitudes.

Hey roscoe, your remark is a little hate filled but that's ok right. You have a right to your remarks but it just shows a little hatred of your own. This nut case does not represent main stream but lets condemn all religions even though they are all speaking out against it.

All this will do is cause more violence. Yes this is America, and yes he has the right to do it, but as it puts lives at risk, it is an insane thing to do. I do not believe that any form the maker of all things takes would approve of this insanity

This minister is doing to Christianity exactly what the radical movement in Islam is doing to the Muslim faith.

Of course this is stupid and dangerous. The rumors of Korans found in the toilet or something to that effect at Gitmo's prison, as far as I know they were alleged by prisoners, led to a strong reaction by extremists. Who knows how many attacks against those in uniform or otherwise that incident led to happening. Again, that was just an allegation. This pastor really doesn't give a hoot about winning the hearts and minds of people across the world. He's probably one of those people counting down to the rapture, but so far the only thing I have found on this guy is that he adores the movie Braveheart and has been a long-time Islamophobe.

This might be my favorite thread I started ever. I love almost each and every person who responded here. But especially the Morningstarians, whom I have been bigoted about in the past.

He may have the right to burn the Quron, but we also have the right to bitch slap the HELL out of this bigoted asswipe.

Well, my wife once accidentally burned the Quorn. It was a new schnitzel type and she misjudged the cook time. Is this punishable in some countries? I am not a Morningstarian because it's just not available in my country. We do, however, have Hälsan's Kök and the package looks almost identical to Morningstar. I am brand bi, I suppose.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

Oh Brian...you slay me.

I hope the event is public enough that someone can literally tackle the guy as he prepares to light the books.

What I have heard is that book burning down there is illegal because the ink pollutes the air. So he and anyone there in Florida should be arrested if they do this.

Also, if this man hates the Koran so much, why didn't he do this before? He wants attention. Also what we aren't hearing are reports he was let go from his former church for stealing money from them to pay for his own expenses. I caught that in an article. (Maybe one posted here).
