Check out the slideshow on the upper right of the article.
I think Wayne Newton and Joan Van Ark look the scariest.

Joan Van Ark and Stallone look horrid.
Tina Turner, Julie Christie, and Cher look the best, IMO

A couple of weeks ago we had dinner in an Italian restaurant in the heart of the Upper East side. Now, I was sporting a new short, short post-chemo 'do and feeling a little self conscious, but also a little "I am woman, hear me roar...", if you know what I mean. Anyway, I started glancing around and an extraordinary percentage of women in the small room had had obvious plastic facial surgery... A lot of it was BAD, or maybe just too much. The topper was a woman with shaggy bleached-blonde hair who had had so much work done that she truly resembled a Caucasian Michael Jackson. I was mesmerized. She carried herself in a young and coquettish manner and the effect was just painful. And it wasn't just the surrounding tables, either, when we left, I looked, and it was table after table of plastic surgery. Almost like a convention.
In an odd way, it made me feel good about myself. At least I'm comfortable with myself as I am.

Posted: 4/24/08 at 3:10pmI'm embarrassed to admit that I watch The Bachelor, but this season one of the women is Lorenzo Lamas' daughter. He went home to "meet the folks" and I was amazed how great Lorenzo looked (surgery to be sure) and how AWFUL his ex wife looked...not just bad plastic surgery, but terrible makeup that was much too young for her (a la Joan Van Ark.)

Posted: 4/24/08 at 3:13pmDoodle, I saw that, too. The first thing I noticed were her lips. They were hideous. I really don't know why this people spend that kind of money to only look horrible. I look at my mom who is 75 and has never had any work done, and she is beautiful the way she is.

Posted: 4/24/08 at 5:23pmJoan Van Ark appears to have injected her lips away. How is that possible? The ones who look the best are the ones who look different, but you can't pinpoint what they may have done. Johnny Depp looks to me like he's had a procedure or two, but I can't begin to guess what. He just looks good.

Posted: 4/25/08 at 12:08amJoan Van Ark is scary! Does anyone watch The Tudors? How bad is Peter O'Toole's plastic surgery? He reminds me of Regis Philbin when he did the same surgery. Here's a good reality show: Celebrity Surgery Gone Wrong

Posted: 4/25/08 at 4:06amI just remembered someone else. She's not a celebrity, but is the jilted ex-wife of a rich man. Jocelyn Wilderstein, the cat lady. SHE IS THE POSTERCHILD FOR PLASTIC SURGERY GONE WRONG!!!

Posted: 4/25/08 at 4:36amI totally agree with you. Speaking of Knots Landing, I always felt that Michelle Lee looked like Roddy McDowell in his "Planet of the Apes" makeup.

I'm still perplexed as to why people are paying money to look like that.
Does it make them look different? Yes. Does it make them look better? No.

iflit rocks.
Having now lived in Aspen, Scottsdale and the LA metro area, I've seen all the plasticity there is to see.
