Trump compiled a list of people he would nominate to the Supreme Court during the 2016 election. Basically, the list was drawn up by the "Federalist Society" and the "Heritage Foundation" and they recommended Judge Gorsuch. No POTUS can ever predict how a judge they selected will rule on any individual case. How many saw Justice Robert's ruling on "Obamacare" coming? I would think before declaring this as a epic fail in Trump's eyes, you would have to evaluate the rulings for quite a few years before making judgement. I kind of like it when judges are not predictable on their rulings according to how we think they will judge a case. It gets tiresome seeing so many cases being a 5-4 decision with everyone voting as we all expected.
