Okay, I'll ask: why do people watch this crap? That's a serious question. What on earth do you get out of watching a bunch of women with too much money and way too many issues?
At least DYNASTY made that fun. This, being real life, is just sad and pathetic.
I'll bite.
I watched these shows in the beginning out of (morbid) curiosity. I have to admit I found some of the shows entertaining when they first started.
Then when individuals on these shows started getting notoriety for their participation and/or bad behavior everyone started to try to "out-bad" each other.
Then it just started getting really pathetic and disturbing.
These shows are prime examples of what (some) people will do for money and fame...even sacrificing whatever happiness they may have had in the process.
A lot of these women (and men) come off as truly unhappy. I wouldn't trade places with any of them.

I liked them at first too. But I haven't watched any of them in a year or two - lost interest.
I think it's crap, but the RHONY is my guilty pleasure, I think the new cast of season 5 was the best season of this show. I can't stand NJ, Atlanta, DC, OC or Miami. But the NY girls are fun!
Carole is too classy for this show that I think it is bound to ruin her second season.

Last season was terrible. I wont be watching NYC this time around unless they bring back some oldies like Alex, Jill or Kelly. The ones who have signed back on are the ones who dont need the money. The others (who dont work) are the ones renegotiating.
Im still waiting for Sonia's f#@cking toaster oven! WTF?
Betty, did you watch the whole season? I thought it was amazing! We tend to agree on these things, I think season 4 was a disaster, except for the trip to Morocco that was great. I miss Bethenny, but glad they got rid of Kelly, Jill, Cindy and Alex.
Apparently you were only one of a few who thought is was amazing:
Season 5 saw double-digit losses in the ad-coveted 18-49 demo and was the series' second lowest rated season.

Heather is my favorite, so I'm glad she's back!
I watch all the shows in the franchise, and I will say that RHONY is the worse one in my opinion. It can be kind of dry compared to the others. I watched every episode, and while I enjoyed it, I didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the other franchises. Hopefully, this season will improve, but I'll still watch nonetheless. Although, this current season of RHOC has not been that exciting though.
