RIP Mrs. Teevee

Nora (Dodo) Denney who played Mrs. Teevee in the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has passed away. She was an acquaintance of mine and a close friend of hers just called with the news. She was a lovely woman and so funny. She never achieved (nor really desired) great fame,so I don't expect this to make the news wires, but the she will always be remembered by many for this one role.
And she was a fantastic gardener!

oh sad--i knew nora years ago in kansas city. she was a lovely person and a wonderful actress. RIP.

She and Roy Kinnear were my favorite things about that movie. I'd often wondered what became of her.

May I ask how she got the name "Dodo"?

Mrs. Teevee: I assume there's an accident indemnity clause.
Willy Wonka: Never between friends.
