I loved the finale, though I didn't buy that last shot of Eirene forgiving Pullo at all. I'm pissed Niobe killed herself - she was one of my favorite characters (and really hot), so I wasn't thrilled with that. I thought the assassination scene was VERY well done and as violent as expected. I sat there HOPING Caeser wouldn't say the famous line since they've done a great job twisting the familiar Shakespeare - and let's face it - he said it with his eyes as well as could possibly be done. The only thing I wish could have been done differently was that they had put a time caption on this - I think we went a good four or five years over the course of the season (judging by the boy I assume to be Niobe's son at the end) but the time frame always had me a little confused. When did Octavian, for example, turn grey!? How does he look so much older and Atia looks the same?
Still, I loved it and can't wait to see what they pull off for season 2, though it'll be without two of my favorite characters.
Hi, Shirley Temple Pudding.
