Well that wasn't a surprise. The deck has been stacked in Jaida's favor for a while. Her performances were only ever entirely adequate, rising above that only once, when she pointed off camera and said, "Look Over There!" Her closeup lip-sync was fine, as usual, but her apartment performance was absolute laziness -- there was, as usual, only the barest of bare minimums. She just pranced around her apartment, stuck some poses, and called it a day. I mean, fine for an audition tape, but for the Final Round, competing for 100,000 dollahs? Not. Good. Enough.
Jaida was a distant third going into the final lip-sync, for me. I suspect the only reason it was a three-way final lip-synch was due to that lackluster bit, even favoritism has limits. They'd chosen a song they knew would play to Jaida's abilities, and had to put her in the last bit somehow, and when she proved so lackluster poor old RuPaul just had to make it a three-way to justify it. Both Gigi and Crystal out-classed Jaida two out of three challenges.
