Raku to Close Doors on November 15th — Page 8

I used to like "The Quiet Man" and was sad when that closed years ago and I liked "Hamburger Harry's" knew a lot of folks there who I've never seen since.
Sh*t happens. My friend Max opened up a restaurant near the World Trade Center five months before 9/11 and it was totaled.

BACK OFF.
I was late Wexy. I got there at 5:10. Sorry.
And Sweet Q. I love Avenue Q but if it closed I would not care.
If FB Closed I would be very upset.

This is . . . the same as it's always been - for whatever reason.

I wish I could say it would be a pleasant memory, but after encountering the sleeping waiter, I can only say that I'm glad to see it go.

And I would be upset if Corine's Corner closed. I love hearing about the highlights from people who visit the site.
It is true that things like restaurants come and go. That's the sad fact of the bitch of life.

And as you (and others) very recently made clear, I'm FAR from holy here.

And I STILL maintain my reticence in 'this form of communication', as recent history makes only too clear.
Sueleen (and others, I'm sure) thinks I'm an idiot, and I think he's a complete Prick. And yet, I know I'm not an idiot - and I'm relatively certain from all reports that Sueleen doesn't see himself as a complete Prick.
In the end, so what? People can grab onto whatever soundbites of mine they want. I wrote them, so it would be pretty ridiculous to try and back away from them. I just keep moving forward.
But what strikes me is that some here like to drag all the accumulated SH*T along with them - especially you . . . what's the newest moniker - Namonster?
I may be the only one that gets bored reading the same attacks by the same people toward the same targets - over and over and over. But that's just fine with me. Y'all will obviously keep on attacking, and I'll keep on commenting. Years of the same thing prove that we're not going to change.
Cheers!

But I also seem to not pay as much attention as some. Despite your protestations of only 'skimming', you are remarkably able to call up stuff that I never even noticed, much less remembered.
And really, the value here for me has been to make connections OFF the board, which apparently is something you have never had an interest in. I'll keep the friendships I've made here - and keep them viable off the board, where they belong - and you can have your dominion here.
I just reserve the right to be Saint Deej should the spirit move me. And as always, you or anyone else can flay me to your heart's content.

It seems that you expect everyone on this board to be as compassionate and as tolerant as yourself on every single subject and person. Well, we all can't be the Blessed Virgin Mother. You need to lighten up and let it go or you will become even MORE sanctimonious than you already are, if that is even possible.
And for someone who says they don't pay much attention you sure are quick to judge. Perhaps you should not comment on things that you don't pay attention to. No, you do NOT know everything about everyone here, but god knows we all know an awful lot about you. I hope you don't have to change your name again.
Now can we get back to praying for Mr. Raku and his CoCoRo?

By the way, the New World Grill also closed its doors after fourteen years, the owners said they were being "kicked out" of Worldwide Plaza. Man, I'm gonna miss those steak sandwiches.

Ciao.
PS Corine's Corner is getting over 200,000 hits a month so a lot of people would care if it closed. You can read what I have to say on my site. I am sick of this abuse.
Anyone who cares about my site can read what I have to say on my daily blog.

And DG: The small crowd here who hate me are just jealous of me. I don't really care what they think.
