If anyone still watches this show, this is your warning that after years of fellating every conservative from Kevin McCarthy to Rick Santorum to Ben Shapiro to Ann Coulter to Kid Rock and everyone in between, he has booked the ultimate evil witch for his show tomorrow night, October 31 - Marjorie Taylor Greene. You’ve been warned.

Surprisingly, MTG has actually advanced a few sane positions in recent weeks, including criticism of the Republican Party and Johnson's (lack of) leadership in the House.

As such, I am monitoring the skies for flying pigs.
She's also booked for The View this Tuesday (Election Day), Nov. 4th. I'm very interested to hear what she has to say, although I can't predict how I will react...
Too little, too late. She remains scum. Nobody owes her an ounce of respect. The thought of Bill Maher chatting humorously to her makes me sick.

Well, I'm not nominating her for any awards, but I'd happily take her vote on any Democratic priorities in the House given that a few Republicans have to be peeled off to move anything forward.
I'm watching the episode now, on hulu. I particularly like her stance regarding the bailout of Argentina. I also appreciated her saying, "My angst is with my colleagues." I attended a town hall this past Wednesday where I told my state representative nearly the exact same thought, but for different reasons.
I was also previously unaware of the number of Trump's administration that are currently living on a military base: Steven Miller, Kristi Noem, Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth. MTG's response to that information (of which she was also previously unaware) was, "What do they know that I don't know?"
Maher also brought up the topic of Trump wanting to resume nuclear testing (which to me signals Trump's desire to use nuclear weaponry). Greene responded that she "would vote 'no' to that", additionally saying, "...everyone in history knows what happened to Japan after nuclear bombs were dropped there."
The conversation concluded with topics that included Venezuela and tariffs (especially with China). I was glad to see where she and I share viewpoints. ...I'm still wary however, that Maher's program contained only topics where Greene's views coincided with those of a more liberal voter. (Not saying that was purposeful, just seemed open to the possibility of stacking the deck...) If she repeats her exact messaging on "The View" this Tuesday, I'll have a clearer picture about that.
MTG’s appearance on “The View” was substantially longer than her appearance on Mahr’s show. Greene was the subject for nearly all but the first and last 10 minutes of the show.
• MTG was introduced after a 10 minute panel discussion about today’s elections, a video that demonstrated Trump’s spiteful support for Cuomo in the NYC mayoral election (in which Cuomo calls out Trump’s spiteful endorsement by saying, “Donald Trump doesn’t support me. He opposes Mandami&rdquo
, and short tributes acknowledging the passings of former VP Dick Cheney, and actress Dianne Ladd
• Greene entered wearing a vibrantly red pants suit. She definitely stood out from the other women in their autumnal purples, blacks, and brown. Whoopi was the most casually dressed in an open collared, mens-style dress shirt overlayed by a blousier kimono that was predominantly white with a few light grey vertical stripes. Whoopi’s only pop of color was a long, purple scarf with orange accents that hung from around her neck and down over her shoulders, toward her waist. The other ladies were all dressed for business. Anna was absent from the panel today.
• Very early in the interview, Greene stated her love for Donald Trump, which she’d also stated on Mahr’s show. Greene followed her declaration of Trump loyalty by blaming the current government shutdown directly on the Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson (although at that point in the interview, she did not give any specific reason). She did mention also, that she is not talking a paycheck.
• Alyssa referenced her appearance on Bill Mahr’s show and recognized her being in agreement re: extending Obamacare for at least another year so that the rug is not pulled out from underneath Americans who rely on those subsidies for healthcare. Greene replied that in 2014, insurance premiums skyrocketed (in her personal example, from $800/mo to $2400/mo). She went on to say, “…I’m gonna pick on Republicans. Republicans never fixed it. And then the ACA tax credits were passed in 2021, and there was a sunset date of the end of this year, and Republicans never made a plan for that.” She continued by saying that she hoped Mike Johnson reveals his healthcare policy because “the country deserves it, and it shouldn’t be a secret.” When Sunny piped up with, “Maybe there is no plan”, Greene responded, “Ya know what? Ya wanna know something’? That I believe is the truth. There’s a lot of ideas, there’s a lot of bills, but there’s no consensus. And I think that’s a failure, I do.”
• Whoopi brought up the topic of money spent on the Argentine bailout. Greene responded with a lengthy opinion re: her pro “America First” stance, ending with the statement, “For me, I am un-apologetically ‘America First’ and I’ll do anything I can to save this country.” Joy said, “Maybe you should be a Democrat.” Greene repeated her love for Donald Trump, but stated only one reason for why: her thankfulness for the secure border. Joy was quick to point out, “That’s one thing. There are so many other things to go after him on.”
• Sunny brought up the subject of Greene’s public behavior that some described as “unbecoming for a Congress woman.” She continued by adding. “…you seem to have grown past that, and I feel like I’m sitting next to a completely different Marjorie Taylor Greene. Why the change? It’s like you’ve gone so Right it’s like you’re on the Left now.” Greene’s response included something about “lies” from both sides (which, honestly, I wasn’t able to follow her train of thought on), and ultimately stated, “You guys are all victims of the ‘Political Industrial Complex’, and it’s built on fundraising and fighting and toxic… just toxic garbage.” She went on to place blame on inaccurate media coverage that the public perceived as truth, which IMO was a reworded version of Trump’s “fake news” motif.
• Sarah turned the subject to the Epstein files and ultimately asked, “What exactly is being protected, here?” Greene’s response was, “I have no idea, but it seems like very rich and powerful men are being protected.” She continued by saying that once released, she would read the list on the House floor because she has speech and debate protection there. She also brought up the fact that “this has been a failure across the administrations” naming the Biden administration, the Trump administration, and the Obama administration. Joy pointed out that the only person that was “caught” was a woman to which Greene responded, “Right, what does that say?” Greene was diligent about an immediate follow-up comment, “They say she’s a monster, though. Theeeeey… they hate her.”
• The next topic, introduced by Alyssa, was re: Venezuela and the strikes on Venezuelan vessels without Congressional authorization. Her question was, “Do you think this is something the president can do unilaterally, or Congress needs to weigh in on?” Greene’s response was evasive of the direct question asked. She spoke of her confidence in the US military, stating that she felt “they have intel that we don’t have and they know what they’re doing.”
• Sarah was next up to bat and asked about white supremacist Nick Fuentes. She asked Greene where she stand re: Fuentes’ views about Jewish people who live in the US. She responded that as a lawmaker, she didn’t need to agree with his views, but finds it important to defend the 1st amendment for all Americans. Sunny pressed the matter by saying that many people believe that if Greene criticizes the Israeli government (which Greene has done), she is anti-Semitic. Greene defended her position by pointing out a change in public opinion that recognizes the difference between “people” and “foreign government”. She concluded with the statement, “I can say October 7th was the worst thing, and horrific, but I can equally say starving children and killing innocent people and children in Gaza is also horrible, and that’s my opinion.” That statement elicited audience applause.
• Whoopi asked, “Do you think it’s a good idea for the military to be marching into our cities and towns right now because maybe people don’t like the speech that they’re hearing?” IMO, Whoopi’s question was off the mark. We don’t have military oversight because of any free speech issue (at least not where I live). The military is here because Donald Trump doesn’t like the fact that Chicago is a sanctuary city that will stand up for our Hispanic immigrants/emigrants. Greene’s response was directed toward the question as asked of her. She complimented the manner in which ”The View” conducted the interview, and the “professional and kind way” ideas were exchanged.
• Sunny asked the next question re: the elections that are happening today as possibly serving as a referendum on Trump’s and the Republicans’ agenda. In her response, I was struck by the fact that Greene mispronounced Kamala Harris’ first name 3 times in one sentence (she pronounced it, Ka-MAH-la, as opposed to KAH-ma-la). She went on to say that she felt this election is a referendum on, “Where is the Democrat party?”
• On the humorous side, Joy pointed out that Greene had been criticized for coming on the show, and that Greene had responded to the criticism by calling her critics, “mostly weak Republican men”. Behar asked, “so… would you like to name names?”
• When asked if Greene thought Mike Johnson should come on the show, Green enthusiastically responded, “Ab-so-LUTELY I think Mike Johnson should come on the show!”
