OK , Its official I am addicted to reality t.v. American Idol, America's Next Top Model, Survivor, and the best new show: My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance. Has anyone seen it yet? Soo funny. I'm actually looking forward to the midget version of the bachelor next week to. lol
This isn't 'reality TV.' These are GAME SHOWS.
Next they're going to tell me 'The Price Is Right' is 'reality TV.'
As for 'Big, Fat Fiancee' -- that girl's gorgeous.
UGH I HATE REALITY TELEVISION WITH A PASSION!!!
....except I decided to watch American Idol for the first time this season and I'm sorta hooked but besides that...
Grrrrr

I, too, love "Reality TV". My shows are:
Survivor
Big Fat Obnoxious
Average Joe
Apprentice
Big Bro (in the summer)
American Idol (when I can catch it)
I spend more time watching these shows than watching all the other poorly written garbage on TV. The only real shows I watch on a consistent basis are 24 and Sopranos (less than a month)!!!
Anyway...I too am looking forward to the Little Bachelor or whatever it is called. Also...Eden on Fox sounds like it may be good. I guess that starts in March.
And John Popa...I agree that the girl on "Fat Obnoxious" is pretty nice looking but have you seen the girl on Average Joe...WOW!!!
Oh yes, Big Brother!!!
I can add another...Celebrity Mole
i was in hysterics watching trishelle on "the surreal life" beg ron jermey, "c'mon, pleeeeeeease let me see it?" while ponch was in the other room consoling tammy faye (bakker) mesner? on national televison...
I absolutely LOVE my big fat fiance!!! He kills me, because he acts like such an idiot but hes so clever for the actor he is. I like Average Joe as well.....but when The Simple Life was on, I watched it all the timme. NO i DID NOT like the show in a whole, but I thought it was hilarious how stupid both of those girls are, and how they just think they're actually amazing. Sorry ladies, but NO. hehehe.
I only like the second half of Survivor. The first half is always pretty dull. I loved The Mole before they went to the "celebrity" version. My favorite will always be The Amazing Race. I would love to be on that show.
The Amazing Race was always my favorite as well.
I miss that show. It's the only reality show of witch I watched every season. The others, I would catch maybe one season (or a few episodes of), and not really care about the future seasons.
I have seen:
>Season 1 of Celebrity Mole
>Season 1 (I believe the only season) of BootCamp (I wouldn't watch future seasons if they had them)
>Season 1 of The Bachelor
>Season 1 of The Bachelorette
>I did watch the Bob Guiny season of the Bachelor, but only the last few episodes.
>Bits and pieces of the First Americna Idol
>Season 1 and episodes from Season 2 of The Osbournes
>Episodes from Season 1 of Anna Nicole
>Season 1 (the only season) of Rich Girls (I miss that show too)
>Episodes from Season 1 of Average Joe
I really think American Idol should be taken out of this "reality tv" category and moved into the more appropriate "variety show" category.
Yes, but it's really only "variety" when there is more than just singing involved. Variety shows are shows like Carol Burnett, Sonny and Cher, Laugh In, and even Saturday Night Live to a degree (though that show is mostly just comedy). Those shows consist of singing, dancing, and comedy sketches.
And while AI has some very talented new singers, there's not really any dancing until the last few episodes, and there is no comedy at all...unless you count the audition episodes. ![]()

I am a reality TV addict:
SURVIVOR
BIG BROTHER
AMAZING RACE
BACHELOR / BACHELORETTE
REAL WORLD / ROAD RULES CHALLENGE
AMERICAN IDOL
AMERICAS NEXT TOP MODEL
Its a sickness, I tell you - A SICKNESS! : )
Mister Matt, The Amazing Race is so challenging and exciting. It makes my heart pound.
I guess I like it most because it's not about popularity. It's also why I liked The Mole. Nobody gets voted off by the other teams or the audience, or gets a rose, or a glass of champagne, or begs forgiveness to stay in the game. It's all about using your brains and making wise choices to stay in the game. Even the most athletic don't always win. I love it.
The Real World just makes me laugh. It's anything but "the real world" and it is such a sham. Like Jerry Springer, those people are performing for the cameras from the first minute to the last.
I love the MTV reality shows like The Real World and the Real World/Road Rules Challenges. I love all the drama!

Hey...did anyone see Survivor last night? Man the ending was sad. That is so wonderful that she did leave, though, and got to see her mom one last time. For any of you who didn't watch...Jenna M. felt like she had to be home because she didn't feel right leaving her mother who has cancer. Eight days later Jenna's mom passed away.
Jeff Probst asked her how she knew about this because she hadn't heard a word from her family or friends since leaving for the show. All she said was that she had a feeling. Wow!
Imagine if the shark had attacked about a foot-and-a-half lower? Ouch!
Jenna talked about her mother during the Survivor season (which she won). I was thinking to myself at that time, if my mom was dying, I'd never be away from her. Now she agrees to do this current Survivor season, and her mother was apparently very close to death. Alicia said it out loud to Jenna (although not a good strategic move)and will probably get bad feedback because Jenna was in pain at that moment. Jenna thankfully made it home eight days before her mother succumbed to cancer. Would you do a second season with your mother on her deathbed? Updated On: 2/13/04 at 10:31 AM
I can't stand reality tv. I think it's annoying. I used to be obsessed, and then I found cop/law shows.
I have to admit that I watched the first Mole and the first 2 surviors. After that, I was like "wow. this is stupid."
