Could anyone give me some really great (but not overpriced) restaurants in NYC? Also, something that's not one of the big Times Square tourist restaurants like Planet Hollywood or Jekyll and Hyde?

I always recommend Trattoria Trecolori, on West 47th. Great food, very reasonable prices, right in the heart of the theater district.

The Meatball Shop
several locations

Started in one location and grew to five now! Happy for these two young guys.

No reservations.
If more than 2 you might be seated at the group table in the center.

Recommend the sliders so you can mix/match the meats/sauces.
Love the risotto and market salad of the day.
Always save room for the mint ice cream with the fresh mint leaves in the ice cream.

Jing: Chinese and Japanese and fusion; 9th Avenue between 47th and 48th.

Becco, Italian on restaurant row; 3 different pastas daily on a prix fixe; reservations reccommended

Churiscurio Plataforma (spelling) on 49th just west of 8th; Argentinian steakhouse; meat and salad, then salad and more meat and then finish off with more meat. Don't eat during the day and don't make plans afterwards (because you may not be able to walk); This is a bit pricey but the experience is worth it and if you like meat, especially beef, you're home free. Not for vegetarians or even semi-vegetarians.

Thanks for the input everyone! They all sound great! I should probably also note that I'll be dining post show in the evening, so maybe around 10:30 at night.

"Is there any good sculpture in Rome?"

Yeah, some statues I heard. A few might have some cracks in them. And they're really, REALLY old.

Palazzo Senatorio - Hot new sculpture. Best in the city. You can't go wrong. Trust me on this one.
