"3, 6, 9
The goose drank wine
The monkey chew tobacco on the streetcar line
The line broke, the monkey got choked
And they all went to heaven in a little rowboat
Clap Pat - Clap Pat - Clap Pat - Clap Slap
Clap Pat! Clap your hand...
Pat it on your partner hand... right hand
Clap Pat! Clap your hand...
Cross it with your left arm
Pat your partner left palm
Clap Pat! Clap your hand...
Pat your partner right palm
Clap Slap! Clap your hand...
Slap your thigh and sing a little song
My mama told me if I was lucky
That she would treat me
If I was goody
My Aunty told her, I shoulda told her
No I'm not kidding
That's what she told her"

Remember when Vanna White actually had to physically turn the letters instead of touching them and the contestants had to float around a little showroom and buy crap with all the money they won?
My ex was one of the winners who had to buy stuff from the showroom. I think he bought a trip to Cabo and a VCR.
Remember TV antennae? You had one on the roof of your house and probably a set of rabbit-ears on the TV itself. But you still had bad reception with certain channels anyway. You would adjust the rabbit-ears, maybe put a ball of tinfoil on the ends, walk back and forth across the room, wave your arms, and then freeze in position when the channel came in and stay there at least until the next commercial break.
And I remember we had the original Atari 2600 introduced in 1977. It came with 2 games, Combat and Outer Space.

Or (my favorite)... does anyone remember Marlo Thomas and Friends "Free To Be You and Me"?
There's a land that I see where the children are free
And I say it ain't far to this land from where we are
Take my hand, come with me, where the children are free
Come with me, take my hand, and we'll live
In a land where the river runs free
In a land through the green country
In a land to a shining sea
And you and me are free to be you and me

Here's a slice of Old '70s Heaven:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=wsNYNHgDEG8
Including...
Annette Funicello selling Skippy
A really young Cynthia Gibb getting rid of zits.
TV Guide commerical
Stockard Channing in a brilliant movie about getting pretty and killing people.
A disco Doublemint gum commercial featuring '70s mousketeer Kelly Parsons and "Escape From Witch Mountain"'s Ike Eisenman watching a monster movie.
A Long Beach rodeo
...and best of all, back to the Channel 7 afternoon movie: "What's Up, Doc?" completely unrestored, faded, with scratches and pan & scan!
Gotta love it!
