Lildogs: Actually, I was trying hard, too hard, perhaps, be oh so current. I was referring to the new gay slasher movie, HELLBENT, opening in NY and other locales today. It's a Halloween night when 4 gay buddies go to the West Hollywood parade and attendant festivities and end up slashed by a fellow hunk. Anyone here see it?

I just read that Renee said her use of the word "fraud" was "simply legal language and not a refection of Kenny's character..".

She also went on to say ""I would personally be very grateful for your support in refraining from drawing derogatory, hurtful, sensationalized or untrue conclusions.."

Once again, the hypocrisy of celebrity.

She is now asking for understanding and privacy? She went on THE VIEW within days of the nuptials, proudly touting them, dragging her parents to the audience, and introducing them as supportive. And then produced a slide show of beach shots of her and her black-hatted hubby. Fine. If you open your "private life" up in front of Joy, Star, Barbara, Meredith, you should understand there will be curiosity on all fronts when things go awry. And if she's worried about our interpretation of "fraud," then why use it? Surely there would've been more benign terms. We're now supposed to feel this is a national tragedy. We have real tragedy everywhere.

JerseyGirl is saying what everyone else has been hinting at. Chesney was one of the most gossiped about country singers, and it wasn't his GIRLfriends being talked about. Though it seems incredible that in this day and age a woman could be fooled into marrying a gay man (as a general statement), it's still happening as gay man after gay man marries because he believes his family or his religion or society expects it of him. It's truly tragic, made even more so by the "religious" right's demonizing of gay people through lie after evil lie. Wow, this message ended up not at all what I thought it would be when I started. But then, as the saying goes, "Don't get me started."

I am telling you, the way Nashville works is very weird. It's a Payton Place. Everyone knows everything. Kenny was always a rumor. Unlike Ty Herndon. He's a confirmed friend of Dorothy. It's just sad that Ty's career took a MAJOR nosedive when he was caught in the park. Of course, it was spun into "he was caught urinating in public." The damage was done. It will be interesting to see what happens to Kenny now. He is insanely popular and Ty was just on the rise. I never understood Kenny's attraction.
