Dear CC-

You'll note I forgave the movie, not you. I'm not even sure I forgive the entire cast (Big Dini's already in the clear, though). Your commentary, Mr C, made it clear that you had no handle on the show nor had any idea what you were doing.

Don't get testy with me, CC. You record another semi-hostile, totally self-righteous commentary.

Dear Kringas,

I didn't ask for your forgiveness, as perfection has no need for forgiveness. I am inclined to believe that you are just generally an unhappy person due to bad lighting. I have found that proper lighting can make the most foul of scenes, I mean days, sheer perfection. Or perhaps you are simply in emotion overload.

Dear CC-

Feel free to delete my emotion all you like. That is of course the problem, not that you had to stretch and drag out every little thing. Except the actual songs. There you chopped them to bits. Well, I guess you won. The movie was a huge critical and financial hit, right?

I meant to tell you CC, that I felt totally vindicated when I saw "Good-bye Love" on film. I knew that on film there would be endless moments of instrumental music to slow it down, and indeed there were.

As to the "Rules of a Musical" you spoke of in your commentary, are they published somewhere? Is this like Dogma 95?

Dear Kringas,

It's a comfort to know that I am not the only person who got the point of the changes I had to make. It seems that several people just didn't get the need to remove the songs I chose to. I mean, why reshoot "Goodbye Love" when I could just delete it? It all had to do with the emotion that the viewer could handle, not my direction.

As for the financial and critical success, I admit, this film was no "Christmas with the Kranks" but I only had so much to work with. This story's time will come. America is just not ready for it yet. Again, direction had nothing to do with it. It's not like it would be any more popular in another form, like on stage or something.

Dear CC-

Let's talk about Benny and Taye. First off, I thought it was kind of ****ty of you to slag him on the commentary, calling some of his early takes "embarrassing." You'll probably say it had nothing to do with your direction, which I'm inclined to believe, as I don't think your direction consisted of much more than saying "Yeah! I'm so cool. I'm bringing ReNT to the screen!"

I thought it was odd that you spoke of how the scene post graveyard had to be cut, because the mood was lightened too much, what with Mimi asking for a cigarette and whatnot. It's funny, because that was a deviation from the stage version, as the first portion of the song ends, the Reverend calls for Collins and the next portion of "Goodbye Love" continues. Did it never occur to you that the screenplay was crap?

I feel bad for Taye. You took what's already a difficult and mostly unlikable character and just removed any fighting chance you had.

Hey Kringas, Jersey here.

I thought that whole Taye discussion was because he was making a practical joke. The boys knew he was making a joke and they were responding to it by laughing but CC couldn't see their faces. I will rewatch and see.

Dear Kringas,

Upon further examination of the commentary, I have come to the conclusion that have you misunderstood what transpired. The day of the funeral scene, Taye had his first dramatic scenes and decided to play a joke on me. He overacted to be funny. I was speaking of the joke and nothing more.

Also, I am looking into suing Jon Bon Jovi for stealing my scene from What You Own for his video!
