I'm surprised FOX didn't try to one up CBS with either a "Rob & Amber: Unauthorized" or "Rob & Amber: The Consummation"

Posted: 5/25/05 at 12:48amThis was meant to be a three or four hour sweeps spectacular. But after CBS saw the intense loathing the public had towards them from The Amazing Race they cut it back to one night. Hopefully Rob's 15 minutes are over and never to be repeated.

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive.
"Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot."
"No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one."
Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

It was like driving past a car wreck. I kept trying to look away.
Mind you, I enjoy Amber for her, uh, talents. And the talents were practically falling out during the rehearsal dinner which made for an enjoyable few moments.
I really can't stand those two. They deserve nothing else for free. They've made millions by whoring themselves for that network, and I'm certain they think they deserve it. They aren't talented or even charismatic.
If I were a Nielsen rater, I'd throw ethics out the window and give the points to UPN.

I, too, watched with fascinated horror.
And, yes, CK, her talents were quite apparent at the rehearsal dinner! (WHERE was Colin Cowie?!)
