This should not surprise anyone, except maybe his gullible supporters.

"Romney had a Swiss bank account and has interests in tax havens like Bermuda and the Cayman Islands. The Romney campaign has insisted he does not use the havens to avoid paying U.S. taxes, but Vanity Fair wrote it is impossible to confirm that he is not seeing a savings.

The Republican candidate paid a 14 percent tax rate on $21.7 million in income in 2010 -far lower than the rate paid by many Americans because his earnings comes from investments rather than wages."

As far as I know, there are two reasons to keep money offshore: avoiding taxes and/or hedging against the dollar. If there are other reasons, I'd love to hear them.

I hope the independents see this. Romney is for the one percent ONLY. If somehow he gets in those who voted for him will regret it. They'll do anything to get Obama out of office but they will start praising Obama when they see the damage Mitt does. Lets not forget, it will not be Mitt calling the shots but all those who paid for his presidency. Mitt will have to pay them back and the 'average American' will pay the price.

My Dad who hates Obama told me he won't be voting this year because he says as much as he hates Obama, Romney will be a lot worse.
