lol... No!! My agreement with Colleen really wasn't a slight at you, as much as an agreement in general with her post. =)
I'm so sorry about your car!
Colleen, I think we are in agreement about caring/posting, but not about Rosie.

Kind of back on topic.
Rosie said today "The first week went well, but I feel we didnt do anything Broadway" and then the other ladies were like "We'll you have ideas for future weeks" then Rosie went "Or I could just give the entire audience tickets to see THE WEDDING SINGER" and she gave the entire audience tickets to the show. It was very ROSIE O' DONNELL-show esque.

I feel like Gammy Janey Waney misrepresented the opening of today's The View, which I just watched on DVR. After saying "My name is Rosie O'Donnell and this is the end of our first week" all four of the women put their hands in the middle and raised them as they exclaimed "Go team!"
They then did a briefing about what the week has been like for each of them, they talked about what a refreshing week it's been, how they all feel that they are part of the team and like the idea that they don't really know what's going to happen next.
After approximately 30 whole entire seconds (which must seem like an eon when one reaches one's Twilight Years) dealing with Rosie's daughter butchering her own hair, all four of the women discussed the impact of divorce on kids. Joy spoke at length about her own divorce. At the end of the segment, Rosie mentioned the aforemention lack of Broadway coverage/Wedding Singer ticket giveaway.
After the break they came back and had a discussion about the book "Debunking the 9/11 Myths" which is just about the LAST thing I expected on this show. I would expect treacly tributes on this sort of show, not a serious interview with the guy from Popular Mechanics that gives the lie to all the Andrew Lowe Watson's of the world.
Funny how people see what they want to see when they've made their minds up about someone beforehand. Or maybe some people need their ear trumpets and trifocals adjusted.

May I ask who that was directed toward?

Yay! Rosie has already got the Broadway action going.
Interviewed Georgia Engel from Drowsy, and then Bob and Beth did "As We Stumble Along" and they gave free tickets to the audience.
wow! free tickets! I wonder if anyone doesn't want theirs

Yeah - the second Broadway ticket giveaway in a week! I also got a kick out of Rosie and Joy having their mini-gang up on Elisabeth yesterday. But...Bitsy stood firm in her logic and convictions and that was definately good on her part. Well, whatever logic she may think she has. lol.
I enjoyed the gang-up yesterday myself. I was waiting for them to go at it. I found it funny that on the day they have a falling out they're sitting SIDE BY SIDE.

"Only her opinion counts..."
Well - when you are as right as she is on that matter - who can really argue? Certainly not Hasselskank.
Interrupting The View in the middle of the hot topics is NOT how you get me on your side, Bushie.

MrMidwest, is that Annette O'Toole in your av? Gorgeous.
What was the argument about between Rosie and Elisabeth?
Yes, it is indeed the lovely Ms. O'Toole.
We have previously stated that Rosie O’Donnell will probably not last very long at The View. The writers at Newsday appear to agree. For Rosie, there was confusion from the first day about her role as a team player. Rosie is used to being the King of her own domain.
She began by steamrolling through her first day on the show, yet this turned out to be only a warm-up for the return of her trademark liberal rants that characterized her earlier self-titled show. Rosie has been a tireless supporter of Broadway, and appears to be genuine in her love for mankind: until it comes to conservatives. Her message of peace, love, joy, and tolerance abruptly ends when she meets with any conservative. She is the darling of screeching liberals and is often championed by the most extreme elements of the liberal party.
Poor Rosie, she has reduced herself to playing the role of a barking moonbat. There are evangelical Christians whose views differ from mainstream Christianity, but there is no terrorism endorsed by world-wide Christianity. Murder, terrorism, and death to innocents are soundly condemned by all sects of the Christian faith. While Rosie’s lifestyle and views are not endorsed by many who follow the Christian faith, they are not suggesting, promoting, or engaging in terrorism of Rosie or any other Americans. Rosie’s unspoken demand that everyone embrace her belief system clouds her view of Christians, and her intolerant and bigoted remarks should be disavowed by the ABC television network. In making her radical comments and sticking to them, Rosie has placed herself on the side of the Islamic terrorists along with many other American liberals.
The View is Less Than Rosie

I just saw a clip from this week's View on Talk Soup. They were discussing diaper rash, and Rosie pontificated ("my doctor told me!") that you let a dog lick your baby's rash, and the antiseptic on the dog's tongue will clear up the rash.
I'd stick with the A&D ointment.
PLEASE do not tap on Chanticleer's tank. It gets him excited!
JG2--LOL!
You don't think The Rosie O'Donnell show was "mainstream?"
I loved it on the first day when she said she didn't want to bring up the "L"esbian thing on the first day! lol
Personally, I find Rosie obnoxious and offensive and I feel the audience for The View will evaporate. Meredith....Star....I miss you.
I love Rosie on The View. I think she does a great job representing gays and lesbians. I think her debates with Elizabeth have been fair and respectful.
I think she pisses off the right because she says all the things they don't want people to know.

Ever notice that about 89% of the stuff Chanticleer "covers" on his blahhg which he cuts and pastes over here isn't about stuff he's actually "seen" or "experienced." All he does is gleefully pull the thoughts and impressions of other people.
Ironically, 72% of the "coverage" he cuts and pastes comes from sources he calls "elite media" 86% of the rest of the time.
Very often, deeply closeted individuals resent the hell out of somebody as out as Rosie O'Donnell. I've seen parts of every episode of The View she's done. Here's another reason Chanticleer must hate her, she has a sense of humor about herself and criticizes herself publicly before she criticizes other people. If mini-reactionary Elizabeth Hasslebeck can sit there at that table and laugh hardily at Rosie's jokes, Chanticleer can keep his cherry picked criticisms to himself.
Have you ever noticed how 98% of what some posters have to "say" on this board are personal attacks on other posters?
Have you ever noticed certain posters who are obsessed with detroying other members?
Have you ever noticed how certain posters try to make every post trite, trivial, hate-flled, and demonstrate their thread envy in every written post?
Why does it get to you so much? LOL

I'm sure in your case "thread envy" would be an apt description.
I'm sorry that this has shattered your world.
