Well then.
Well, I saw the performance on a website that must not be named. You know, Fly is simple and sweet. Why on earth does she have to screw it up like she does everything she sings. I get that her vocal chord is wonky. I wish she would use her natural voice. Now I need to listen to the Dixie Chicks version to feel better.
And I liked the softer set better, I think.
Now I have seen Rosie on the View. I love her. LOVED her "L"esbian comment. "Not on the first day."
Watched the show today.
Feel like it should be called Rosie & Friends!
I know Rosie's excited, but she needs to realize she has a very strong personality and has to share the floor.
Joy looks left out, and it's sad.
But I'm giving the show a couple of weeks for everyone to find their place. Once they find a nice rhythm, I see great things ahead.
PS Don't care for the set. It doesn't have that open feel that the old set used to have - now it's like they're pressed up against that huge wall. Not to bad pun it, but literally, where's the view?
Well, I like the show with Rosie but the whole point of the show has always been that each woman was very different from the other. Now they have two loud, smartass leftys. I hope they can reach a comfy middle ground.
Hell, even Howard Stern was talking about how it didn't seem like Joy had a space.
Don't you just love that Howard loves to talk about American Idol and The View and all the stuff we do? And I love that Artie hates when Howard gets all riled up on this stuff!
Howard didn't miss being George Tekei's cuddly muffin by much.
Joy (who's always been my favorite) may have to go through a period of adjustment, not being the only funny big mouth on the show now. Personally, I don't think Rosie's funny. I'm not a fan, but that's besides the point.

I would definitely keep my hand down if the question to the group was "Who here is surprised by this revelation?"

I like Rosie as an addition. I think it's fitting that she "drive" the show very much the way Meridith did. Barbara was never really good at it when she had to - Elizabeth does not have the mind and adlib power that may be needed for it - and Joy - god bless her - seems content to sit and add as needed. I like how they are not shy towards Rosie's being a out lesbian also. The ten year anniversary of she and Kelly came up, and they asked if they were going to re-marry. Rosie gave a great answer - and they moved right along.
I think the joker may be played when they hire Star's replacement. For now - all seems good. I noticed they are doing larger audience give away's - is that in any way directly attributed to Rosie?
I also think she will have a direct impact on the guests that appear - and I assume that Broadway talent will once again have a highlight on The View.
I also hate the new set - yuck.

Another attempt to be clever by stalko.

Rosie pulls too much focus on the show. Like today when they were talking about wrinkles and she had the cameraman zoom in on her face. We lost everything that the others were saying. I agree with whoever said it was like Rosie & Friends.
I agree. She has done more than take Meredith's seat. She seems to have taken over the reins of the show from Barbara.

Well - that is not Rosie's fault. Bill and Barbara must be allowing it or it would not happen.

Stalko?
Rosie will calm down when the show hits a stride. Right now she knows a LOT is riding on her shoulders. Clearly she got some feedback to let Joy speak and she did today.
Rosie was hilarious otherwise.
Does anyone believe that Barbara Walters couldn't have kept the reins if she'd wanted them? She never wanted that take-chargerole, always preferred the three days a week participation, and after Star left, frankly, Barbara strained to play the Meredith position. It's not about whether she can; at this point in her career, she doesn't want to carry a show, and who can blame her? She clearly sought Rosie to be major force in the hosting, and has clearly given her permission to run with it. Their opening numbers were quite hight -- double a year ago -- but may shake down, like Couric's. The curiosity factor brings people once, twice, maybe occasional. But only after a few weeks will they know if they have a ratings base. (Anyone else think it odd for all the cheering about Couric's numbers, when the curiosity factor clearly drove that opening?)
Well, I never thought for a minute that Barbara can't handle any situation that occurs and is the boss there. I was commenting on the way I perceived Rosie to be acting on the show.
I love Rosie on it...she seems to be doing what Meredith did. And I like it!

"Unlike other shows like Regis & Kelly and the 'old" View,"
Regis and Kelly has a BROADWAY WEEK always right before the Tonys featuring most of the nominees.
The View has had some shows on including Wicked, Tarzan and I believe, Throughly Modern Millie.
I love Rosie on THE VIEW, its so much more fun than before, it has alot more engery and spunk. I'm happy. I loved the pet segment the other day- watching Rosie and Elisabeth squirm was hysterical. I hope Rosie injects Broadway onto THE VIEW and makes the show even better.
Compared to the amount of Broadway talent Rosie featured on her show, what R&K and The View had on is a drop in the bucket.
I'm glad to have Rosie back on t.v.

Tinfoil...The Terrorizing Terminator
I watched Rosie for the first time today.
I barely even heard from or even saw the other ladies. Joy was quiet, and Elizahack and Barbara interjected when they could, but Rosie is really leading the show now.
I wonder if that's what Barbara wanted, or if she's going to try and tame her a bit.
And I love Rosie, but I don't want her to become the next Kathie Lee Gifford. If I heard one more story about her kids, I swear...
cant watch rosie makes me itch
I think I"ve had it with the View.
The show opened up with Rosie saying "Welcome to the View, I'm Rosie O'Donnell.'
Then we had to see and hear about her daughter cutting her hair. Who cares? And it's true, we didn't hear much from the rest of the ladies. Welcome to the Rosie O' Donnell Show.
