I've never seen this show, but based on the pics posted on the first page of this thread I've got to say that most of those guys look way better as girls.
Apparently the first seven queens enter and don't know about another seven who will soon follow. They both compete without knowing of the other seven for the first episode then when it comes to the lipsynch, one person from each group of seven lipsynchs. After that, they are joined together.
Why they do it, I'm not sure as it seems like a lot of work on the production's part but it certainly sounds interesting
This came true. I think this episode was truncated though into only one side of the queens game. Ru said two premieres, but I'm thinking it's just one with a longer length bouncing back & forth between the two groups. As I don't see the point of flying ALL the queens to LA for the premiere tomorrow only to show one group.
It's also no longer the Interior Illusions Lounge, but the Form Decor Lounge.
Wasn't crazy on the premier (may because I'm just waiting for Darienne to appear) but I did enjoy it. I am IN LOVE with Ben! His entrance was probably my favorite in all 6 seasons the way he came running in bopping with energy!
I am *REALLY* disliking Adore and Gia. REALLY. Ben de la Creme seems pretty great. Vivacious is good, but her concept grates me nerves.. Do I miss some of the bars and clubs of yesteryear? Do I walk by buildings that are now hotels and stores and remember dancing tip 4am with friends when I was 21? Yes. But I also try to enjoy what we have now. I go out and be social and I don't focus my time on griping about amazing things USED TO BE.. and that is what he drag is. It's also very Blaxploitation, lower budget Leigh Bowery. I had to laugh and roll my eyes at her dramatic entry and that zipper failure. Nevertheless, I am still Team Bianca all the way. She is glam, she is talented, she is smart and she is QUICK. Mean, yes. Vicious, yes. Hateful? No. If you think Bianco comes at you with hate, you should check yourself... Bianca is one of the rare queens who can throw crazy venom, do it with a smile, and you know it's all part of the show and not being a hateful person. Unfortunately, some can not draw the distinction. As a southern man living in NYC, I love Bianca's sensibility for that reason... it is pure south... say some crazy hateful stuff and do it with a perfectly lipsticked smile...
I guess I am just confused as to what I saw. She couldn't get the first two pieces to line up, yelled F*CK!, tossed them aside and picked up another piece of fabric. She made three stitch lines (I guess only one side was seamed) and voila! Did she grab the wrong fabric the first time? Was the other pre-cut?
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!
Um. Making the dress was amazing. JerseyGirl, Bianca always yells things like that on stage..s he is crass, vulgar and loud and amazing.. Im not sure that what you think you saw was accurate.. she did toss a strip aside, changing the hem, probably.. none of it was precut.. she rolled the bolt out on stage...
No, I get that. It was certainly damn impressive. She just couldn't seem to line up the first piece. I wonder if she grabbed the scrap by mistake the first time because she did yell it and then throw it, grabbing the other piece.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!
I wouldn't be sure that it was a mistake, so much as Bianca performing. I noticed thats he ripped the fabric at one point, so she probably stitched a section she needed and then discarded the remainder. The looks, facial expressions, yelling is PURE Bianca performance.
You say that like there was ever something right with Santino. He's a douche through and through. He critiques fashion while he looks like **** episode after episode. Sort of his MO.
ANYWHO! I don't think is the last we've seen of Kelly...
As for bringing up Madame LaQueer, she has really turned it recently. Looking very glamorous, had her mole removed, & her English has gotten SO much better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iac36NCsOTY
I didn't love the first episode. The concept of splitting the queens into two episodes was annoying especially when the ones I'm the most into weren't on this one. BenDeLaCreme is the only one here I'm interested in. Gia will quickly become the most hated and I couldn't stand how she said "absolutely" to the judges before they even stopped speaking. Laganja is annoying and her looks aren't doing it. April needs to step it up and not look so much like a little Latin boy in drag.
I'm glad to see ***SPOILER*** Kelly Mantle go because she was incredibly bland especially for a queen her age. That wig? Girl, no ma'am! I've seen better wigs at Rickys.
I'm curious as to know what happened to all the sponsors. There is no Interior Illusions lounge. There are no Absolut cocktails. There is no AlAndChuck.travel. This was one of the few shows where I wasn't bothered by the product placement because it seemed organic to the show.
"Pardon my prior Mcfee slip. I know how to spell her name. I just don't know how to type it." -Talulah
Kelly was absolutely the right choice to go. I am sure she is fantastic out in the world, but in this competition, she was out of her league. And what's next for her? She's dropping a single, of course.
I haven't gotten to see anything beyond the early preview because Logo is a PREMIUM channel here and my grandparents only have the basic package. Gah! Are they doing Untucked this year? I missed the silly sponsors, too.
