I rarely see the show anymore, but when I did, Horatio Sanz was unbearable to watch.

re: SNL Cleans House

Sanz and Mitchell can go, but I think Parnell is one of the most talented people ever on the show.

Dratch is leaving for realz?

I wouldn't imagine they let Parnell go, it must have been his choice.

that actually let parnell go once before and then brought him back.

Well that's just stupid.

They need to lock Dratch in that studio.

I can't remember the last time this show was funny. I'm surprised they haven't already overhauled it or canceled it.

re: SNL Cleans House

Yuck, Dane Cook bombed last time he was on. Why is he invited back. Horatio Sans can't keep a straight face, I it's not easy being high in every episode.

Fortunatly for us, we have the stellar MadTV cast! Anyone catch the High School Musical sketch? It wasn't a great episode, but there is always next week. SNL on the other hand has had several really bad years lately. I can't believe it hasn't been cancelled.

You have to imagine that Studio 60 may be having an effect on the show this season with all of its criticisms of the real deal.

Well, I am thankful that I may never have to hear, "I'm Carol!" again.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

"it's not easy being high in every episode."

That never stopped the original cast.

Oh God, ain't THAT the truth, JG2. There has definitely been a rash of recurring sketches that weren't funny the first time.

Isnt Dratch supposed to appear on Studio 60?

re: SNL Cleans House

I believe she was cast in "Thirty Rock" the "other" SNL-like show that Tina Fey created.

Glad to see Sanz and Mitchell leave-- please tell me Fred Armisen is headed out also. He has never made me laugh. And his recurring "Person who think he's funny but isn't" sketches (Native American Stand up, Cuban drummer, whatever) are PAINFUL to watch.

re: SNL Cleans House

Thanks, Joe...I get 30 Rock and Studio 60 mixed up.

re: SNL Cleans House

I love that NBC paid for two lame shows based on a lame show. NBC seems to always have shows about people working in the "biz."

re: SNL Cleans House

As long as this show still has Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph I'll keep watching...

I do think the situation for this show is getting critical. It needs something to come in and save it really quickly.

Dratch was cast in 30 Rock, but I think she was replaced by Jane Krakowski.

re: SNL Cleans House

Dratch is still a series regular on 30 Rock but her original role has been taken over by Krakowski.
Now, Dratch will play a variety of characters, this week a maid, next week a male cousin of a person on the show, etc.
It is the last nod to the sketch comedy aspect of the show, apparently. Originally, 30 Rock was going to feature scenes from the show within a show, "The Girlie Show." When they canned that aspect, they wanted a different lead (read: prettier).

re: SNL Cleans House

I never thought I'd see the words "(Rachel) Dratch" and "variety of characters" in the same sentence.

(sorry, Rath!)
