Opening skit, The Lawrence Show..... with Judice!
Yes! General Hospital clips! I hope they actually do a real skit on that.
James Franco is smoldering hot!
James sounds like his voice is strained. He's been a crush since Freaks & Geeks.
Jack McBrayer and Mike Tyson as the guest panel in What Up With That? Interesting. Tyson looks bored out of his mind.
I know SNL is lacking the minority members but I never seen so many white people on BET.
But Andy as John Stockton borders on brilliance.
Wait a minute, Jack was just... there.
I love Bill as Lindsey Buckingham.
I was tired of the Kissing Family sketch the first time around.

The last skit (the hispanic talk show) was hilarious! I cracked up every time they started dancing!
I loved it too. Oh and the Jammies sketch was inspired.
MUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bobby Moynihan as Snooki? Terrible, absolutely terrible. I can see his chest hair. Does he even research the roles?
EDIT: Bill Hader as The Situation is a win!

My one real criticism is that James Franco and Bill Hader didn't make out enough.
Vincent Price! They made up the Halloween omission!
That frat sketch was all too real. I lived above one- long story.
James as James Dean.
Weekend Update brought the show. Was it a rough week in snark?
well this xmas tree skit is horribly unfunny
So far the only one I laughed at was the spanish dancing.
It had potential. I would especially have liked it if James sniffed the scent of the trees that bordered Dennis Hopper in Blue Velvet. Giving the tree something like a Cousin It voice was a bit stupid.
Yes! More Muse! I was worried there for a moment with the time elapse.

Are you familiar with the show at all, strummergirl?
Why do you ask that? I've watched it on a near regular basis for the last three seasons.
The show just started here. I really wish they would get rid of the BET-What's Up With That sketch. Unless I haven't seen the show they are spoofing (If one exists) I just don't find it funny. Once, for me was enough.
strummer, your BET comment made me laugh!

Cuz bands always do a second song. Cuz the point of an impression like Moynihan's precludes him shaving his chest hair. They've done several "What Up Wit Dat?"s and among its many aspects is that the second guest and Lindsay Buckingham never say a word. The point is the host singing on and on and on. And finally, you're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?"
That's why I asked.
I"m still wondering what was funny about Wiig as the woman with the deformed hands and forehead in the opening skit.
I'm three hours behind, so I am just listening to the Rose Soundtrack and having flashbacks to the movie. I love her version of "When a Man Loves a Woman."
I know about the two songs on the show- I do remember occasionally there were some groups that did three songs because of some situations, I admit I never saw a musical guest with just one song. I just got overexcited that Muse was there.
I am not a big Bobby Moynihan fan and just did not think he fit as Snooki. Not saying it had to be done by a female but he was one of the last members of the cast I would have chosen.
My only questions pertained to Moynihan as Snooki and why did Weekend Update just not have any good material. Usually there are good topics for the week, even if the punch-line is half-baked. None of the topics seemed interesting to take a shot at. Seth really needs a co-pilot.
Judice was from last season when Anne Hathaway hosted in a Lawrence Welk sketch. What is funny is the rest of the group of blondes Wiig was with (Amy Poehler, Casey Wilson, and Anne) are obviously not apart of the show anymore. I can't really point to what makes Judice funny but the first time I saw her I was in stitches in the original sketch. I only liked this LWS installment because of Franco.
The Judice skit always makes me laugh. Especially when she tries to catch the bubbles. I loved the Jammies digital short. The kissing family was even funny. So far (Weekend Update just went off) I am having a good time with it!
I really liked tonight's show overall. I thought the only real dud was the last sketch of the show.
On a sidenote, I'm looking for anyone who recorded the show in HD and can provide a copy of the entire episode on DVD. My stupid DVR was buggy and decided to only record the first 33 minutes and then stop. If you can help, please PM me!
I loved Bobby's Snookie, he brought the house down! I find him a very talented and funny guy. Thought the show in general was a good one.
Mike Tyson was not bored, he was acting. He wanted so much to get up and dance during that skit. He actually did during dress every time Keenan started singing but it destroyed his last line so they made him sit on his hands more or less.
Found Muse to sound too derivative of other bands. Nothing that exciting.
I was impressed with JAmes Franco's ability to throw himself into many different characters and do them well.
