If you really dislike Mary Murphy this is what you do:
Pray that the one guy who danced to "Carmina Burana" (who ALMOST made it last season) does not make it to the top 20, then Mary Murphy will die. She said so herself......
He'll probably end up winning. He's fantastic.
I just got back from the ACL documentary "Every Little Step" and guess who was up for the part of Mike? Tyce something, who is a guest choreographer and judge on the show. Let's just say that he did not come off "smelling like a rose" at all!

Diorio.
And yes, he's a pompous jackass.
Really? I always liked Tyce. I'm sorry to hear that.

Having just seen Every Little Step, I'll support the claim that Tyce makes a pretty bad impression. I kept trying to think that it was all a put on, but he actually seemed to believe what was coming out of his mouth. 'Arrogant' doesn't even come close.
EVAN KASPRZAK! I adored him last season and I'm so glad he made it to Vegas again! I really hope he goes farther this year.
I couldn't possibly detest Tyce Diorio, more.
There were some pretty amazing dancers tonight! It's going to be hard to narrow this field down.
I forget her name, but if the girl in the flannel shirt whose father committed suicide doesn't make the top twenty, I'll eat my hat.

Tyce becase a bigger, more bitchy queen every year.
JohnBoy2, I so agree with you. I never realized how big of a bitch Tyce is until tonight.
So happy to see the Kasprzaks - I was at Broadway Theatre Project with them and took Ryan's class. Both gorgeous dancers.
I watched the first hour and was happy that Mary Murphy was so much more subdued this time.
ShbrtAlley44- I was at BTP with them as well. I always looked forward to Ryan's classes- such fun. Both of the Kasprzaks are INCREDIBLE dancers, and more importantly- people. Hilarious and kind.
scott - Honestly, does anyone STILL wear a hat?
Sorry, it had to be done.
My favorite was the girl in the second hour who's sister made it in the first. The one where she said she had surgery. It was GORGEOUS the way she danced.
She's my favorite of those we saw, as well. Everything about her is beautiful.
Wow, I never knew Tyce had such a cruel mean streak. He kept going on about being "honest", but I guess he believes honesty and tact are mutually exclusive. He was trying too had to be Simon Cowell and this show has never tried to be American Idol. I don't remember seeing him behave that way before, but I just lost a tremendous amount of respect for him. Nigel has bitched out other dancers for wasting everyone's time trying to get their 15 minutes of fame before, but he was more tactful when necessary, and when pushed, he was far more succinct in conveying the message without appearing to be self-serving or dramatic. Tyce was clearly trying to deliver his comments in a way to promote his own character. He should take some lessons from Mary.

I saw Mia Michaels last night and realized that Kate Gosselin's hairdo must be a takeoff on Mia's, LOL.
Did anyone watch Las Vegas week last night?
Some of it was such a joke. They were cutting some fantastic dancers for messing up once (at least that's what we were shown) but there were some dancer that were busted that kept getting chance after chance.

My wife was really livid over that exact same thing. I did care about the girl with the red hair (from last season, with the roommate). She wasn't given a second chance, and since there were giving them out, she certainly deserved one! Why does Debbie Allen speak to everyone like she was Maya Angelou?! For that matter, why does Maya Angelous speak that way?
That's exactly what I was talking about, JohnBoy2. I couldn't believe that they cut Natalie (the redhead) after one "bad" performance (which looked fine to me) but they kept giving that girl, Gabie like 2 or 3 chances before finally sending her packing. Hopefully, Natalie will return for the fall season and make it to the top 20. They really screwed her over. They didn't even ask her to dance for her life like they did for the other people that weren't even half as good as she was.

To be fair, guys, we really don't know what was going on because these programs are edited up the wazoo to make them look more dramatic. Natalie could have messed up more times than once.
And here's the way the "second chances go" - if a dancer gets less than 3 votes, they are out. If it's a split vote, they dance for their life - that's why Natalie didn't dance - she didn't get the votes from the judges.
And like Shbrt said - Vegas Week is 4 days edited into 2 hours. Natalie went through 4 dances before being cut - we have no idea how she did up to that point!
No, you're right, we don't know. But, since she was a featured dancer on the show, it might have been a good idea to let us know. Instead, they came off like they were playing favorites. She outdanced (what we saw) many of the people (in fact, all of the people) that we saw get a second chance.
