BwayTheater: The Wicked posts were just as mean as the first Avenue Q ones that itsucks2beaveq made, so I dont blame him/her for getting upset about it and for getting harsher on the show. Craig and the administrators are coming off as Wicked haters when they delete things that talk trash about Ave. Q but not the ones about Wicked, which is not going over very well with most of the people on this site (who like Wicked, but dont show it, which is what someone said to me when I first entered this site).

I didn't say they are being forced to open there eyes emutional, i simply meant they should be open to other opinions. the "pro wicked" threads i have read that included "bashing" had people who wouldn't even THINK to consider another persons opinion if it was anti-wicked.

i sure hope i don't come across as "defensive and cold" WickedRocks, just trying to sort out things.

EXACTLY, BwayTheatre.

When I review posts for deletion, I don't READ them. I skim them for inappropriate words, and if I spot one, I read the post to decide if it is worth editing, or to just delete it.

If I see a post in ALL CAPS, it is very annoying to me, and hard on the eyes.

if this person is complaining because threads against avenue Q are deleted and you tell him, for example, to not write in caps, then you're telling him that it won't be deleted if he says:

"Avenue Q is a piece of trash that doesn't deserve an ounce of recognition. The actors suck, the puppets suck, the music is all the same, all the show was was puppet pornography and profanity; a terrible influence on today's youth, especially when it won 'Best Musical', which was quite possibly the greatest robbery in the history of broady."

Rob and Craig cannot monitor the board 24/7...some posts are gonna get by...it just seems like all of the Ave. Q threads get deleted. Get over it. It will not effect ticket sales.

I would delete that, because of the word "suck" (maybe I am just used to moderating a family-friendly message boards).

To say "the show sucks" doesn't say why, and therefore is not opinion, just a rude statement based off of opinion.

Opinion: A belief or conclusion held with confidence but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof

It says nothing about being backed up by information. "The show sucks" is a perfect example of an opinion.

If he would have said "I think Ave Q sucks because the music is offensive" then I would not delete it.

So would you delete this statement made about Wicked: "THIS IS THE WORST SHOW IN MUSICAL HISTORY! IT 100% SUCKS A**". I saved that from a post made a while ago, and felt it was needed in this situation. If you would, go complain to Craig because he obviously didnt delete it.
