First-impressions?

While they usually make for some heated emotions, I am completely disinterested in the villain Russell.

I'm not sure I'll be watching this season.
For some reason the ad that they will have "The biggest villain in Survivor history" makes me want to skip it this year. It had the opposite effect on me then what they were going for.

I think I'm skipping it, too. I've watched the majority of seasons and I just don't think I can do it anymore.

I never tire of Survivor. I just find the set-up and atmosphere compelling (even the crappy seasons like China or Pearl Islands). Plus, it is the most visually stunning HD show I've seen on TV.

Though I don't enjoy watching evil people play the game, I'll take the biggest villain over the biggest douchebag (Coach) any day. And I don't even like using the word "douchebag".

Interesting...Probst says he's the most evil player ever. In his bio he claims he will play to win, but will charm everyone.

So, if he plays a devious game, that's fine with me...that's part of the game. But if he's a tool ala Coach, then he will be insufferable and tough to watch.

I don't know. If you read his bio page on the website, he sounds like a real ****who doesn't even need the money. I'm wondering if his self-depiction as a "loveable character" is more delusion than reality.

I haven't watched Survivor all the way through for a few years. I usually see an episode here and there, but then I never know what's going on.

And on a side note, what's up with the chick in a bikini and brown suede boots? Is she a go go dancer?

Reading her bio, it sounds like she has had some experience working in third-world countries, living abroad and being self-sufficient from the age of 17. If she brought those boots to the island, it may have been to ward off bug bites. You can't see the heels, but it might have been a wise decision on her part. Either that, or she's got a ridiculous sense of fashion. I know the bug bites would probably be the toughest part of the competition for me. I would not be able to deal with that. Some of the contestants in the past have looked like they probably wound up with permanent scarring.

Survivor and Amazing Race both need to be watched on HD. They are the only shows I always watch in HD.

Ben is such a jerk! Country boy with no respect or mothers-manners (probably a closet-case)

I am so baffled how everyone is falling hook-line-n-sinker for Russell. Maybe its just me or maybe my queer-protection instinct but he would SCREAM dirty-rat to me the first-second Id see him! Maybe thats why there are no gay characters because we would see right through him (or get hate-crimed)

Ashley is way cuter than Kirsten Dunst to me. But maybe that's because my first name is Kirsten and I am picky about people with that name.

Russell, Russell, Russell, what to say... Maybe it was the editing, but I didn't find him believable, or likeable. I don't see how they bought his BS. I thought (wishfully) they might vote him out first, because he was getting so much air time. Guess not, maybe next week.
