The death sentence is perfect for him in my opinion.

The death sentence isn't perfect for any human being -- evil or not.
I am Hussein but for the grace of G-d.

I couldn't disagree more. If there is NO DOUBT that this person commited a crime of murder, kill them. Why should our tax dollars go towards them living a life of luxury?? (I am speaking about US prisons now, not Saddam) Yes, they aren't "free" to live in society but they are fed 3 meals a day and they are warm and dry - unlike the millions of homeless people in the world.
I also think that their death sentence should be in the same manner of how they have killed (i.e Susan Smith should drown just like how she drowned her 2 children, etc.). The criminals always end up being the victims whenever it's time for their punishment. The true victims are always forgotten.
I know what I'm saying is harsh but sorry, that's my opinion.

I'm hoping he'll be able to see DREAMGIRLS before he gets executed.

That makes you no worse than he is/was.

"fed 3 meals a day and they are warm and dry"
Wow. That really does sound like the life of luxury.
BTW, "our" tax dollars would be keeping him alive how exactly?
Very true Amanda. This is going to be a never-ending, on-going battle that we and our children (and probably thier children) will have to witness.
Namo - If you read my post in its entirety, you'd see that I said I wasn't talking of saddam at that point but of our own US prisons.
I stand by what I said. The end.

Are you on crack?
Are you saying that we should have put Timothy Mcvay in a building and blown it up? And taken an ax and beaten Karla Faye Tucker to death?
If so- you are one SICK human being.

People who behave atrociously should be kept in prison and alive and reminded every single day of the atrocities they have committed. What does killing them do, exactly, besides give people like raulfan revenge boners?
That's what it pretty much boils down to, Namo. It's the "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" mentality.
I agree with Namo and Touch.
I agree with MatthewAddison.
I Agree With Joe.
I agree with former President Jimmy Carter and Norman Finkelstein
The death sentence does nothing to make anyone better. These people need to feel remorse for their crimes. Killing them is an easy out for both the person being killed and the government.
I heard he’s going to be lip-synching to Jennifer Hudson’s version of, “And I Am Telling You..” right before he drops and his head snaps like a rotten apple.

Our tax dollars or repayment of wrongs aren't the bottom line. raulfan, the sanctity of human life is more important than all the money in the world.
Jesus said: You have heard it said "eye for eye and tooth for tooth", but i tell you this: do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the left cheek, turn to him the other also.
Gandhi said: An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.
I'm gonna side with Jesus and Gandhi on moral issues before I side with federal law or commercial interest.
As bad as it is in Iraq now,all hell will break loose if he is really executed
Here is a hyothetical. He is spared & given life if he tells his followers to reign in the attacks
I don't know who said it first, but...

Roxy, you don't actually think that the attacks are all being perpetrated by Sadadam loyalists, do you?
