Is she serious or is this part of her comedy?
She tells the New York Daily News, "When I go to the airport and they try to take my MAC Plushglass away from me, it's going to be World War III!"

I'm sure she's being slightly facetious, she is a comedian. However, knowing how Sandy likes her essential products, I am sure she will get whatever she needs on the planes. I can imagine celebrities will get allowances that us regular joes will not.

Too bad they have to label her as "close friend of Madonna". Like that's the sum total of her existence.

too bad they cant spell her last name correctly!
Like maybe "One time close friend of Madonna"

Of course she's joking. And she hasn't been a close friend of Madonna's since that clitoral-tease stole Ingrid Chavez from Sandra.
She's not even a close friend of Madonna which is a further slap in the face. She was a close friend of Madonna's for one hot second in the 90s.

Believe it or not.
It was the late-'80s!
I guess the friendship extended into the 90s because I was a senior in HS in 1990 during Blonde Ambition and Sandy was at the Toronto concert with her. Also, they made tv appearances together in the 90s. I think the friendship crumbled in 1992 when Madge was making a "League of their Own" and got a replacement lesbian friend in Rosie O'Donnell. I guess Madonna has a strict "one lesbian at a time policy".
She's dead serious. As part of the further stripping away of checks and balances by the current administration, comedians now have the the authority to declare war.

I think it was really because Madonna stole Ingrid Chavez from her. That's who Sandra is talking about in "Truth or Dare."
Calvin, Sandy had been declaring war on the current administration from day one. I guess losing MAC cosmetics while traveling is the straw that broke the diva's back.
Namo~Thanks for the tidbit. I never knew Sandy was talking about Ingrid in T or D.
cal, have we heard from george carlin yet? he may well declare war on himself just on general principles.

I don't know papa - I just don't see Carlin at the MAC counter for some odd reason.

Carlin did that whole riff about people being too obsessed with cleanliness and Purell and the like. He pointed out that he's NEVER sick and he doesn't give a **** about anti-bacterials. So my guess is he has no MAC cosmetics in his man purse.
Can she still be labeled a "celebrity"? I would imagine the statute of limitations has run out on her. Doesn't the general public have to have heard of you, to qualify? Or, has that rule been changed, so everybody, everywhere can be a celebrity, today?

Are you serious? Sandra works steadily and just did a sold out run in New York...what rock do live under JB2?

In a world in which that Hilton gal is a celebrity, Sandra's the lesbian Eleanor Roosevelt of popularity. Oh wait, that's redundant.
Sandra is fabulous. She always will be. There is not another like her. I would really like to see her show at some point. (I really don't care for her voice, though.)
New York isn't the center of the universe. I didn't say she wasn't talented, just that most people in the world wouldn't consider her a celebrity, because they don't know who she is.

Haha - Sandra sold out here in San Francisco and LA too. It all depends on what you are into though. I did not know who the hell Lindsay Lohan was until a couple of months ago - and I still believe Sandra is a bigger celeb than she will EVER be.

"New York isn't the center of the universe."
Buy a map.
Yes, okay. She is the most radiant, famous woman who have ever lived. Everyone from newborns to nursing home mainstays know her face and name. She IS a celebrity! And, New York IS the center of the universe. All the Bernhardt and New York groupies happy now?

Ron Jeremy's a celebrity. Why can't Paris be?
(I mean, I'm not comparing ability, here, but still...)
Celebrity equals a famous person, not a talented person.
