Phyllis, Letterman was actually referring to Bristol. I was watching that night and got the joke but a lot of people didn't. He apologized and explained what he meant a night or two after.

I'm going to have to side with everyone who has said that this show will keep Palin out of the White House. Even if she planned to run I really think she's shot herself in the foot with the overexposure. It's at the point where she's more than someone SNL pokes fun at (as they have every president during the run). She's a parody of herself and cannot be taken seriously by anyone anymore.

As for her kids grammar and the comments. They're a hot mess but are sadly indicitive of what I see on facebook everyday. I may make a type every now and again but I truly believe that Willow and other people in her age group don't know the difference between you're/your, their/there/they're, too/to/two, etc.

Ragarding 2012, Palin will make a calculated decision based on money, and nothing else. She's ignorant, but not stupid, so despite any delusions of grandeur, somewhere in that mind of hers she has to know she's unelectable. Consider the implications of running: she'll have to make her finances public and she'll have to step outside the cocoon of Fox. Her extremist views were just rejected in the swing states of Colorado and Nevada, and her protege was rejected in her home state of Alaska. So, it will all come down to the money, which is all she has ever been about.
