"All I really remember about Jack was that he ways always calling Will fat."
And how does Sean lead off the Advocate interview? Whining about how fat he is. And why does the interviewer have to assure Sean that, contrary to his low self image, "You look great. You don’t need to worry"?
This is what Sean Hayes brought to the character of Jack. And this is what he wants praise for from gay activists.
Slightly off-topic...but did "Will and Grace" ever show Jack with a date/another man? Will had several BF's...did Jack ever have anybody?
Jack had some tricks, but I dont think he ever had a serious boyfriend. I remember him having some offensive asian stereotype boyfriend, maybe filipino who was named after a "candy treat".

I also think The Advocate doesn't do him any favors by going to Kristin "I had no idea the 700 Club was like that!" Chenoweth for a defense quote. I can't help but think this is a big old backfire for Promises, Promises.

Shame on you, Namo. And after all Sean Hayes has done for you!

I hope God doesn't send a hurricane or an earthquake to the Broadway Theater while Mr. Hayes overdoes the 'shushy eshes' to cover-up his sibilance and Kristin lays on the HM cover perk real thick.

Which is EXACTLY why that song has been interpolated into the show.
Also, I have sent Mr. Hayes a thank you note for all he has done for me as well as us, along with a complimentary sample of Jenny Craig foodstuffs so that he can work on that enormous engorged stretch mark-covered monstrosity he calls a body.
I just got around to reading the whole article. Between this douchebag and the spawn of Satan Chenoweth at least I know I can save my money on Promises Promises.
I actually thought the line from the Producer or Director saying something like "took x-amount of years to revive the show, because it took that long to find Sean Hayes" funny!

I don't think it was meant ironically, though. My question is, what exactly was The Advocate interview supposed to do for the show? It seems like it might cause a backlash.
Jack had a season long romance with a guy played by Dave Foley.
Personally, I don't really pay much mind to Sean Hayes. I mean, I'm glad he finally came out. That's good. I don't see how the interview is going to help much either, but what's said was said. :
"Yes, the brutalities of progress are called revolutions. When they are over, men recognize that the human race has been harshly treated but it has moved forward." - Les Miserables
"It’s not about Hayley Mills. Why do all the gays ask that?"
I would be more interested in reading an article that Hayley Mills was a lesbian after all these years a la Meredith Baxter then all this crap about Sean Hayes.

You know the whole "Will is too fat" thing actually ruined that show for me. First, Sean Hayes had to have outweighed him by a good 30 pounds. Second, Will was scrawny- not fat in the least. That joke is just lazy writing. Will's gay "Friend" might have criticized his bony ass, his non-existent abs, his peculiar habit of wearing gray and brown exclusively, but no one would ever call him fat.

But don't all gay men obsess over being fat? I mean, I don't, but I don't eat chicken, either.
Well, AFTER they're legal.

I think a lot of them do- but Will? He couldn't have weighed 120.
You guys are all meanies. Sean Hayes is the Rosa Parks of gay rights. He sat on it for sodomy.
