Seriously, If Obamacare is so awful why do they have to make stuff up?

I happened to turn on the Hannity show on Fox News last Friday evening. "Average Americans are feeling the pain of Obamacare and the healthcare overhaul train wreck," Hannity announced, "and six of them are here tonight to tell us their stories.” Three married couples were neatly arranged in his studio, the wives seated and the men standing behind them, like game show contestants.

As Hannity called on each of them, the guests recounted their "Obamacare" horror stories: canceled policies, premium hikes, restrictions on the freedom to see a doctor of their choice, financial burdens upon their small businesses and so on.

"These are the stories that the media refuses to cover," Hannity interjected.

But none of it smelled right to me. Nothing these folks were saying jibed with the basic facts of the Affordable Care Act as I understand them. I understand them fairly well; I have worked as a senior adviser to a governor and helped him deal with the new federal rules.

In this case, do they just assume that no one will check? Or do they not check because they assume it's all true? The people who re-post the "Obamacare cost me $700" stories on Facebook just WANT it to be true so bad.

Watch the clip. Sean does not misspeak. What he says is not taken out of context. He is telling a blatant lie in hopes that someone dumb,like one of his defenders,may not be bright enough to check up on his lie. Besides, this has nothing to do with Wright.However,it's the only way you think you can win this is by changing the focus away from your racists buddy.

Hannity tells half truths and lies frequently. Other times he just says things the left does not want to hear. He hates Obama but that is different than being a racist. I don't understand why everyone who is negative about the President is automatically branded a racist. I voted for him. I support some of what he has done but not everything. I think he is arrogant, and a very bad winner. He is partisan when he should be diplomatic. He has been a disaster on foreign policy. That is my opinion. None of this criticism is based on his skin color.

The ACA has yet to help or hurt anyone. At this point it is just a new program having trouble finding subscribers and doctors. No one knows where they stand yet. It is the law but lawyers don't provide healthcare. We are months and perhaps years away from being able to make a judgment on the ACA.

DENTED, Agreed. Its a tactic the left uses out of DEBATE101. Changed the argument if you have no answer for it. Its a cheap and easy charge that is nothing but a distract. Ironic that the use of the race card is very racist. The president doesn't need that false charge to defend himself. To use it would mesn he is not up to defendi g himself as he is not capable. . Say what you want about obama. No one csn ever accuse him of not being a brilliant man. The shame is it makes real racism hard to take seriously.

No, Dented, a "disaster on foreign policy" is starting unnecessary wars that result in thousands of death and trillions of dollars wasted. Nothing that Obama has done is a "disaster". He has done the best that could be done under the circumstances.
