Shocking! Fox news 'top' anchor is an angry, bitter, closeted gay?

Who'd a thunk it? Well maybe anyone who's seen him wearing more makeup than Cher or throwing a hissy fit in front of his blonde muscular boyfriend.

(Shepard Smith) got up from his table, grabbed my elbow, and started yelling,” the waitress, a 30-year-old woman named Katya Minskova, told Gawker. Smith continued berating her: “Where the **** is my drink! Where is my ****ing drink! Get my ****ing drink!”

“He started smacking his hands, like the back of his right hand into the palm of his left,” Minskova said. “He was spitting. His veins were popping out.”

Smith had arrived earlier that night with a straight couple and his own regular date, a muscular 6-foot-2 30-something white male, whom Bathtub Gin employees refer to as “his boyfriend.” Like most other nights—Smith frequents the bar, located behind a coffee shop on 9th Avenue, about once a week—the anchor’s attention fell on his date. According to Minskova and one other source who have seen Smith and his date drink there on multiple occasions, the couple frequently holds hands and rests them in each others’ laps under the table.

The head of a group known as America’s Survival, Inc. wants Shepard Smith to publicly acknowledge that he is gay.

ASI President Cliff Kincaid gave a presentation at the National Press Club last Tuesday about his organization’s investigation of Fox News. The group’s 40,000-word report warned that Fox News “has become pro-homosexual propaganda.”

During the presentation, Kincaid noted that Out magazine had named Smith as one of the most powerful gay men in the media. Smith has never publicly identified himself as gay.

He might be a great anchor (I think he is actually the best thing at Fox)however, if true,he still sounds like a jerk. Kevin Spacey played a similar stunt years ago.(isn't Kevin still in the closet as well?) He is a great actor but sounds like a real a**hole!

I use to confuse Shepard Smith and Lindsay Graham.I know the type.Everyone knows Shep is gay.I'm sure everyone at Fox knows and must be okay with it (as long as he stays in the closet)

I try to imagine what it would be like to work for an outfit that openly hates you, that works tirelessly to deny you even the most basic rights but makes you a star and pays you $7 million dollars a year. To be part of a propaganda machine that builds you up while smearing people like you....god no wonder he's filled with hate and rage.

The fact that he's gay isn't new news; his sexuality has been an open secret for years. I agree that his behavior is really deplorable here, as it would be for anyone to act that way.

There have been many closeted gay men and women who have worked for the GOP, or worked towards promoting its interests. Smith is one in a long line.

Matt Drudge is another closeted gay man that rich Republicans seem to like as long as keeps 'his lifestyle choice' out of our faces and stays the f*** in the closet!

I'm sure Shep is out to some co workers who probably know his blond 30 something boyfriend by name.Anderson Cooper was out in his private personal life for years as I am sure most closeted celebrities are. Shep was just being a diva this one night.

Shepard Smith's homosexuality has been a poorly guarded secret for many years. He is also the most liberal conservative I know (his political musings came to light through a blog).

I'm pretty sure Fox News is just his cash cow - he is one of the highest paid anchors there. Probably sacrificed his moral compass for loads of money.

Years Michelangelo Signorile wrote that the institution of the closet actual served as a drug for these people in New York/DC/Hollywood, simultaneously fueling their success (by enabling them to "pass") and destroying their souls, the same way using crack or meth or angel dust makes you high before it makes you a freak.

I feel sorry for Shepard Smith, because I think he's on a flight that's headed for a crash landing.

But I'm fascinated, as I always am in these cases, by the "boyfriend."
