He is not the only one closeted on Fox. Greta Van Susteren makes Ellen look like a femme fatale; Greta has a hubby and both are Scientologists. And there is the David Hyde Pierce look and soundalike on the morning show who has a wife and kids and flames clear across the sky whenever he opens his mouth.

This gets publicized

That publicity is no more homophobic or dangerous than the following publicity:

a straight celebrity goes to a public place and holds hands with an opp. sex partner

is heterophobic and dangerous.

It's not as if gay celebrities are entitled to more privacy than straight celebrities are, let alone entitled to more freedom from publicity for what they do in public.

I don't think anyone is seriously suggesting that his anger and bitterness are causally linked to his being gay, although I can see how it might smack of such an implication.

As someone who has enjoyed a well-timed workplace romp, I don't find anything wrong with this. And from the article, it doesn't sound like he's an intern. He's apparently a producer at Fox Business.

And, of course, the boyfriend is totally in my color wheel. PJ, when we're at Bathtub Gin, you distract Shep and I'll sidle up to Gio. You know what they say: You gotta break a home to make a home!

Just to clarify- I see nothing wrong with this paring- I am always glad when two kids find one another in this crazy world! Think of what a great place this would be if every frustrated would-be playwright found someone who thought his clumsy characterization and dramatic failures were worth while? Paradise!

I just can't imagine Fox being too happy Shep was dipping his pen into the company inkwell.

And not because I think they hate gay people. I actually think it's worse. I think it's cause they know many of their viewers hate gay people. It's just so insidious.
