Yes, I think you're right.
JUNO should appease those voters who want to see something a little more "mainstream" (at least in spirit) get in.

They don't make you a better actor, but they promote good work.
They also help negotiate how much an actor/actress will get on the next movie they do.

Posted: 1/11/08 at 5:24pmNot really sure what is meant by mainstream. If you're thinking that the Academy should vote for more popular or box office success films, then it's not being judged by merit...only by what's popular.
