I loved the group number, as well. The best choreography of the entire season. They need to do something about their choreographers, for next year. They let down the dancers, too often, and then we have to hear the judges making excuses for lousy choreography.

I was really disappointed with Heidi and Donyelle's number, but I think that was partly because the choreography was just... dull and uninteresting.

I think it will go like this:

4th Donyelle
3rd Travis
2nd Heidi
1st Benji

But maybe I'm just biased; after all, I placed my top two in the finals.

Oh well. Regardless, I'm much happier with the final four this year than with the previous finals. I think every single one of them deserves to be up there this year. :)

While I agree that the number was crappy, I think it is a mistake to consider what Tyce choreographed as "Fosse." I don't think that you can judge how well Heidi and Donyelle handled the Fosse style when that is not what they were dancing.

Coma, I wish I had a way to splice together "highlights" from Travis throughout the season. From the first time the top 20 danced, I found his attitude poor. He is a great technical dancer, yes, but he should take a page from the other dancers who are far more humble, or at least appear to be, then he is.

See, I've never gotten that ever from Travis...cause I'd hate that too, DBilly. I think he is as humble as the others, perhaps not as likeable as Benji...he seems shyer.

I thought the performances last night were not too exciting even though the judges gave them mostly good reviews. At this point though, I would be happy with any of the four winning the competition since they are all talented. However, Travis seems like he would be the only one who would actually fit in the Celine Dion show.

I'm jumping on the bandwagon a bit late. I was super busy, so here are my thoughts from last night (beware of the length of this review!):

Heidi & Travis: I didn't really like their disco. It was a bit boring, for me, to watch. I was expecting something like WOW, like a firecracker as Doriana explained. But I was let down. It was cute though, at the most.
Donyelle & Benji: I liked their routine! I mean does it really matter what the judges think anymore? It's America's (or as Cat would say "Amerikar) faovrite dancer. It didn't look that bad. I didn't really even notice the weird hand moments. I liked their first Viennese Waltz more, but not by too much. I loved the song they used.
Heidi's Solo: Very much like her usual solos. Latin dancing, with fast leg movement. I didn't really like the end of her dress. It was very bird-like =P
Benji & Travis: AKA Tranji! I absolutely LOVED it. My 2 favorite guys since the beginning, get to dance together. It was so cute/dorky/nerdy. Very impressive. Loved their moves. I loved the Tranji hats =P Tranji tummy? My heart melted.
Donyelle's Solo: I really liked it. It was like contemporary & a drop of hip-hop. She was wearing like the same outfit that she did at the audition =P
Travis's Solo: Very much like his other solos. Loved all of the flips he does. Impressive. The feel for it was different because of the music. But I still liked it.
Donyelle & Heidi: I'm not really familiar with Sweet Charity or Fosse, so here's my unbiased thoughts. It was sorta boring. A little sassy, but mostly boring. I didn't get the big eyelash thing. They just walked around & did stuff here & there. But that was it. Disappointed since they're the top 2 girls, I was waiting for something a little more impressive.
Benji's Solo: I adore Benji's solo. They're always so much fun. His footwork is good. It's so fast. Just plain adorable.
Donyelle & Travis: I liked it! It was a different cntemporary feel, but it was enjoyable to watch. The laziness of it all wanted me to just go outside & watch the stars go by. Loved it. I also liked Travis's outfit.
Heidi & Benji: I was expecting a little more, but I still loved it. Some of the moves & tricks were awesome. Such amazing chemistry after working together for 17 years! Such a great couple.

It's sort of like a VHS tape. When you make a copy of a copy. The quality starts to deteriorate. Reinking tries to recreate Fosse, but fills in with simpler moves of her own when she cannot remember the original. A friend of mine workshopped the show Fosse with Reinking and clued us in to Reinking's creative process, which relied more on the supernatural than inspirational, which is no big surprise, really. As for her own work, simply watch the television version of Bye Bye Birdie with Vanessa Williams and you can see how uninspired her original creations are. There is nothing interesting happening at all. Nothing organic rises from the material. And most of the time, is just movement without any dancing whatsoever.

Where do they film the show? I swear I saw Heidi walking down the street in NYC today, but I guess I'm not completely positive.

I hope Travis wins.

for a 2 hour finale you would think it'd be live because of all the hype surrounding it... i'd be sad if it wasn't.

and HOW EFFED UP is this tour thing... they went on sale yesterday for Tampa at noon, so i go on at like 12:15 and the entire show is already sold out!!! then they add another night and that one starts going like crazy and its prob. sold out by now as well!!!

yeah, i was unconsolable. i cried for like an hour. then i got over it. but not completely..
