I think this appeals to many on this board seeing as how most are fans of the musical theatre and many are also fans of horror movies. I'm pretty excited for this. Anyone else?

This has been on my radar for awhile now.
I'm stoked. I've heard great things so far about this one.

Minnie and Meatloaf, together at last.

I'll stick with Michele Soavi's wonderful slasher.
I watched this last night and very much enjoyed it. Was it the perfect movie? No but it was about what I expected. There were some good musical numbers and inventive kills which is about what you want. The killer's songs had a bit of a REPO! vibe to them which made the stand out from the rest of the music.
Definitely recommend this one.

It's on Netflix! Anyone else see it?
I saw it when it first came out on dvd about a month ago and have already forgotten almost everything about it except that I didn't care for it.
I was so excited to see this but my God, it was awful. If you could give a movie negative stars, this would get a ton of them.

You were actually generous, what was that about? No artistic genius trying as hard as possible could make it worse.
It failed as a horror, as a musical, as camp, as comedy, etc. It was embarrassing.
It really was like a high school student film by someone who had no idea what either genre was about outside of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL and the 2008 remake of PROM NIGHT.

"Meat Loaf" is always the clue. It will suck if it has Meat Loaf. Or Tim Curry.
Meat Loaf and Tim Curry are decidedly not without talent, but their talents are for being good B-movie actors. Tim Curry is probably the best bad actor in all the best bad movies, a position that Raul Julia would be decidedly in competition for if it were not for his extensive background as a serious stage actor.
