Survivor: South Pacific (With new twists on Redemption Island)

I didn't know him by name, but I remember his mustache. Last night they showed a blonde girl (apparently her name is Whitney) and I was like, "Who the hell is that?"

I got the gay vibe from Jim, too. I'm usually wrong about those things, though.

I think Jeff has been trying to overstep to lead to a certain outcome at Tribal Council for a long time. Maybe it's just becoming more obvious?

ETA - Brandon is only 19? Jesus.

I just find Redemption Island to be a huge time suck.

Is it possible that they're just choosing to show footage that makes it look like that? I mean, they've said tribal council can go on for hours at a time so I'm sure there's a LOT brought up in that time.

If so, then the editing really sucks.

And yes, Redemption Island is such a waste of time. Worst idea this show has had since the stereotype tribe segregations.

Jordan, could well be the editing. That's a really good point. But, think Jeff still asks leading questions.

Albert is delicious.

Interesting about the gay vibe and Jim... will have to see if I pick up on anything. Medical marijuana is an interesting occupation, too.

I think Keith is adorable.

I'm still not sure who half the people are on the show this season. Guess I should stop drinking wine while I watch, also. (But, I won't... that glass of wine makes it so much more enjoyable).

Addy - I'll be toasting you next Wednesday night with some Sauvignon Blanc and we can pray in unison from afar that there are no blurred-out Albert bits for the remainder of the season.

Try and catch the episode online. Towards the beginning of the immunity challenge, it's like BAM! Albert is standing in profile and his Albits were pretty much casting their own shadow. I know because I watched it like 5 times. I might have to make a video cap and use it for my desktop wallpaper at home.

Albits are hot. Blurring is not.

"Worst idea this show has had since the stereotype tribe segregations."

It may have been a controversial idea, but at least "Cook Islands" was a much better season than that AWFUL "Panama; Exile Island" season where that OBNOXIOUS Aras Barachus won.

See, I don't remember Aras being all that obnoxious, but it's been a while since I've seen it. For me, the only note of importance that season was the introduction of Cirie, one of my all-time favorite players.

Aw, Aras was the first person I ever heard say "Wahhhmbulance!"

Speaking of leading questions (from the discussion of the last episode) what are what to make of Jeff's "Hey _____, tell me what's annoying about _______" questions?

Oh God, those questions were so ridiculous. Especially the first one which was totally random and the next was one so obviously calculated. If I was in that tribal council, I probably would have burst out laughing. If I were on the show, Jeff would probably hate me SO MUCH.

Are Keith and Whitney just idiots? So they didn't write Elyse's name down - the net result was the same. Did they really think that they'd avoid pissing off Ozzy by voting Dawn instead of just voting Elyse?

"Did they really think that they'd avoid pissing off Ozzy by voting Dawn instead of just voting Elyse?"

Yes, I think that was the reason.

I like a good blindside on the show. I also would never in a million years would have thought that Coach would find in a hidden immunity idol. I always thought that there was nothing upstairs in that mind of his.
