It appears from his comments he did not get the message about civility .Maybe Obama should remind him .
I cannot really say I am surprised over his remarks

For those who don't have the news hardwired, here's a link.
The fact that it's from FOX might only be coincidence - I make no claim that Roxy heard it there.
It's up to him to decide if he wants to share where he gets his info, like it's up to him to provide a link.

I think the GOP's symbolic repeal vote is completely absurd.
I also think that Rep Cohen's comment is equally absurd. The fact that he's Jewish makes it even worse.
So, politics as usual then?

And since no one posted this yesterday I'll share another outlandish comment from an elected leader:
Alabama Republican Gov. Robert Bentley is kicking off his first term in office with a bit of controversy, telling a church audience Monday that he only considers Christians to be his "brothers and sisters."

"Now I will have to say that, if we don't have the same daddy, we're not brothers and sisters," he told parishioners at a Baptist church in Montgomery Monday shortly after being sworn in. "So anybody here today who has not accepted Jesus Christ as their savior, I'm telling you, you're not my brother and you're not my sister, and I want to be your brother."
That's ok, Bentley. Jesus is pretty pissed that you made anti-Christian remarks like that in a church, so it sounds like you're going to Hell anyway. But we thank you for your honesty.

Posted: 1/20/11 at 1:13pmIsn't there a rule that whoever invokes 'Nazi' or 'Hitler' first loses? If not, there should be. If this were a Republican, Olbermann and/or Maddow would be all over him for his breach of the unofficial new civility. They should take this moron to task, but I wouldn't count on it.

FWIW I have heard criticism of him from Stephanie Miller and others. I don't know whether Maddow or Olbermann has said anything.
As MB says, it is wrong for either side to do this.

Stephanie Miller did about 20 minutes on how stupid this remark was this morning.
By the way - I missed Glenn Beck last night- what did he say about Rush Limbaugh's racist mocking of Hu Jin Tao? I am sure he had PLENTY to say since he really hated when Rosie O'Donnell did a similar thing.

Somehow I have the feeling that whoever is in power is going to be called Hitler at some point or another. I heard plenty of my liberal-minded friends compare Bush and his regime to Hitler and the Nazis plenty of time, and the few very conservative people I have an acquaintanceship with certainly don't hesitate to fling the name at Obama either.
It's an insult/piece of mud slinging that will probably never go away, sad to say.
