she sounds like she had one too many xanax before the speech.
where is she going with this 1976 era e.r.a. speech?

re: thk#5
Posted: 7/27/04 at 11:04pmi mean that was not good. she was all over the place and i just got the feeling that she wasn't saying what she really wanted to say. although she did appeal to the pacifists and the tree huggers but at what cost? the peace corps as the face of america? climate restoration immediately? alternative energy seems to be a recurring theme. she sounded like she was talking to a love-in in '68 as opposed to the dnc in '04. i was waiting for the line, "together we're going to shove george bush all the way back to texas and then burn our bras!"

"You know what, Shove It."
I will.
By the way, she should have done more promoting about her husband and a little less about herself. As someone told me "I STILL don't know who John Kerry is, thought that his wife would clear *that* up..."

Do none of you watch the news?
Well, it might of been a Letterman reference because the "Tell Regis to Shove It" Segment came b/c of what Teressa did yesterday, so indirectly, yes.

I remember Teresa Heinz Kerry from when she was still Teresa Heinz. I saw firsthand how intelligent, articulate, and personable she was. To me she was the epitome of grace and class. She had that ability to walk among kings and paupers and make them all feel equally special.
And she was married to the only politician I ever truly respected. And I believe even back then she planned to eventually become First Lady. What a difference 15 years can make. I don't get the sense that this is the same woman.
And what's up with her estate now being called a farm? Do they want people to think the family business grows the tomatoes and cucumbers there?

I thought she rocked. She comes across as fresh and invigorating to me.
She is definitely going to make Kerry's Presidency lively!

I thought she was great too.
Papa, I usually enjoy reading your posts, even if I disagree with most of the things you say. Your last post however was one of the stupidest things I've read on this board, and that's saying a lot.

yeah yeah yeah, marckie, we must have been watching different speeches.
jrb, they could put a goat up on the stage and the next day you'd gush over how articulate and conerent it was and argue that it made salient points about the corruption of the bush administration and how it was a crime that interspecies voting was banned.
