Also the other patients at the hospice will be allowed to literally "rest in peace", without the ridiculous media circus right outside their window -- brought on by the Schindlers, I might add.

I dunno, Michael Schiavo just rubs me the wrong way. And I actually didn't know about the court order. Thanks for the info; that makes more sense now.

Addy, I also don't think Bush should say anything...but, quite frankly, this is another great chance for him to invigorate the radical right base and annoy the rest of America. So put your foot in your mouth, Dubya.
I also feel this sad situation really did create a dialogue in America...and an important one and, fortunately, NOT the one DeLay and the fundamentalists hoped.

And OF COURSE Dubya will say something about her passing. When has he ever resisted the chance to talk about something he knows nothing about?

You might be Republican, but surely you can aknowledge that this is one administration that seems to only be increasing the reputation of politicans plumbing what they can for their own benefit.

CK - I do respect those that believe in "life" issues. My grievance has been that Bush and DeLay and cohorts have exploited this private family matter for their alleged political gain. That bill they passed was absolutely ridiculous and downright scandalous!

I just hope now that the family and her husband can grieve in peace.

Whether or not you're a Catholic or Protestant or nothing at all, the fact that someone is struggling to live while hooked up to machines, and you mock it, is wrong. How would you feel if you're so called friends on this board said that about you or someone you cared about.
I'm not Catholic, but I do know from first hand experience, watching someone you love die, even when they chose to be not on life support, is extremely difficult. You put things in perspective.
The Pope is not God (although a lot of people think he is). I don't question God or who He is. The Pope, however, is a person who is dying. What I question is when people mock a situation for their own political agenda.
I mean no ill will, but this is a situation that hits home for me, as did the Schiavo case. I'm glad she's finally at peace, and that the media circus will let her be now. What happens for the Pope will happen. We have no control, but there is no need to disrespect.

By the way, this "yahoo" is not spinning anything. If the Pope dies the same day, it is 2 people in the public eye dying the same day - nothing more & nothing less. The Pope , like him or not, has been a force for over a quarter of a century. You can try & trivialize his life because you do not agree with him. This is your prerogative . Good luck

"A former actor who wrote several plays, John Paul has used his mastery of timing, levity and languages to communicate as few other modern world figures have done."
WHAT?! Never knew that about him!!!
Re Terri:
Just because Terri's heart and breathing stopped and she is room temperature doesn't mean she is dead.
We should error on the side of LIFE!!!!!
You monsters want to bury poor Terri alive! Jesus is watching you!
I for one and not going to give up the fight to save her. We should wait until her body fully decomposes before we know for sure she is dead. Until then, I am going to pray and fight that she receives the best medical attention.
