One of my friends here at university is from near Houston. She really wasn't expecting this much snow, I don't think. We tried to prepare her for a Nova Scotia winter, but it didn't work!

I thought this was a revival of the "How do you pronounce Houston Street in NYC?" post.

Which, by the way, is "HOWston".

But then, if "Soho" means "South of Houston", shouldn't it be pronounced "SOWHOW"?

Rath - the "500" was a reference to a porn film called "The Houston 500" in which a female porn star named Houston had sex with 500 men. Then there was a sequel with 620 men.

I visited Houston for a conference once. Oh, the happy memories from a nighttime visit to the roof of the Montrose Spa.

my school is in Montrose!!! montrose rocks. there is this great coffee, cake, etc... place there. Yum

Here in this cold white room tied up to these machines, it's hard to imagine life as it used to be. Laughing, screaming, tumbling queen... Like the most amazing light show you've ever seen. Whirling, swirling, never blue... How could you go and die? What a selfish thing to do... RIP Jason
