One of my friends here at university is from near Houston. She really wasn't expecting this much snow, I don't think. We tried to prepare her for a Nova Scotia winter, but it didn't work!

I thought this was a revival of the "How do you pronounce Houston Street in NYC?" post.

Which, by the way, is "HOWston".

But then, if "Soho" means "South of Houston", shouldn't it be pronounced "SOWHOW"?

Rath - the "500" was a reference to a porn film called "The Houston 500" in which a female porn star named Houston had sex with 500 men. Then there was a sequel with 620 men.
