My brother lived in Baytown for years and I assisted with some productions at North Shore High School many years ago. The band director was a friend of mine.

Anyone seen the commercials for Sheer Dallas on TLC? It reminds me how much I hated living there. *shudder*

Any thoughts on best bar-b-que in Houston? My favorite was always Demeris, but I think they're all gone now. I used to love the one by Town and Country mall. There was always the same lady with the big nicotine-stained hairdo and big glasses working the cash register who would call out the orders to the kitchen. Second favorite is Goode Company. And everyone has to eat at the Pig Stand at least once.

UGH. No. The letters were supposed to be mailed out on the 1st, but that was changed to the 6th, yesterday, and it didn't come today, so I'm praying it will tomorrow. At this point, I care less about getting in and more about getting the damn letter so I can stop worrying about it.

In other news, I LOVE all the Pappa's resturants, esp Little Papasito's Cantina. Best mexican food EVER.

I never liked Pappasito's. For Mexican, Doneraki and Guadalajara were my favorites. Everyone raved about Jolly Science (La Jalasience), but I never understood the attraction. The only Pappa's restaurants I liked were Little Pappa's Seafood and Pappadeaux.

I got my letter today, too. I got in. It reads, and I quote, "Congratulations! The administration and faculty of HSPVA are pleased to inform ou that your child has met the selection critera and will be accepted into the program pending promotion to the next grade level and final approval my the HISD transfer department."
