GAAAH! that production of Assassins is amazing to be conservative! you should def. pick it up! it is so worth it. it is such a great show and a wonderful album. it takes a listen to actually appreciate it, but it is so great! it really worked great at STudio 54. im surprised to say. the physical production was also really stunning. u should really get it. do you go to Allrecords? thats a great place to get albums cuze they speicalize in jazz and showtunes and stuff, its great. i spend all my money there. what did u see last memorial weekend?

Wait- maybe I have... Is it near Luke's Locker? or somewhere in that West Grey shopping center I always get confused?

Allrecords AND Joels Classical Shop both boast a wonderful selection. Joels is in the shopping center with the Randalls, Panda Garden and across from Berings and Chuckie Cheeses. the strip mall is near West U. Allrecords is in the riveroaks shopping center, tha one that has the movie theater which plays indie flicks. both are really great. what did u think ofCaroline? its 1 of my favs, but i know people on the board who hated it.

if you havent heard Taboo you really should get it (seeing as though you are on a 'new musical' stint. its got a great cast and underappreciated score.

I absolutley LOVE taboo! its one of my all time favorite scores... to bad it doesn't have a great book to boot. re: the 'houston' thread. I listen to that album ALL THE TIME...

I though Caroline was amazing. Tonya blew me away. By the end of her last song, I was amazed. My only complaint was Noah. He was a really annoying character, or maybe it was just me.

Allrecords- West Gray area, i also think Lukes Locker is in the same place. Yeah, taboo is really kick ass. raul esparza blows my mind every time i listen to it. Same with Sarah u. Berry and Euan. i also thought the boy was just ok. but than again, i could never go that high, so who am i to judge. this winter break saw: Bklyn, Producers, Pacific OVertures and the play: White Chocolate. three of the shows were amazing, one was... eh. take a wild guess re: the 'houston' thread.. anywho- im gonna stop by allrecords tomorrow, speaking of it reminded me of the Frogs CD i need to get. lol. what other skools r u applying too? (other than St. Johns)

it's great to see this budding friendship on here---just be careful with the details. Maybe IM's are a better idea.

As for Houston, it's a wonderfully cultural place, but it's still nice to have a major airport where you can get out to most cities quickly and fairly cheaply. i'll never forget spending about ten days in NYC, seeing terrific shows, but realizing that i was looking forward to getting back to Houston for some shows at the Alley, Stages, Theater Lab, Main Street, TUTS, or the Opera. Wish i had more time for the symphony or the ballet.

i also plan on seeing more shows at HSPVA; i caught STATE FAIR there a while back, and WILL ROGERS last year. Just sorry i missed HOT MIKADO, but i'm going to try and see DAMN YANKEES.

Will: They don't give out awards for helping people be gay... unless you count the Tonys. "I guarantee that we'll have tough times. I guarantee that at some point one or both of us will want to get out. But I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life..."

I missed Hot Mikado, but from my tour, the set looked cool. I think I'm gonna see Damn Yakees in the spring. I had some friends that did the Masquerade classes and they got put from the musical theatre class into a sing a long class or something. I've never seen a show there. The HITS shows at Miller Outdoor are pretty good, too.

I couldn't see HAIR but one of my friends saw it and LOVED it. I've never been that big of a HAIR fan, but I've never actually *SEEN* it. Do you recommend the movie?

Did you do CHORUS LINE last season (03-04)? One of my friends was in the "Broadway Teens" class for a little while but then he quit. I think he was cast as Greg.

I like some of the ANYTHING GOES music, becuase Porter is amazing, but I just think its all a little dated, so its lost some of its humor and charm. I love KISS ME, KATE, though. I saw the new production in London last year, it it (epecially Sally Ann Triplett as Reno) blew me away. If you're gonna buy a recoding, I'd recommend trying to track down that one, althought the Lupone revival is amazing also.

i have 45 minute study halls everyday except one, so by the time i get home, i have a lot less. and we usually do our math hw in class, so it ends up being way less than an hour what you actually do at home...

I've been listening to my CoC cd all day and now I'm pretty addicted... looks like it'll be my cd-that-I-listen-to-all-the-time-until-I'm-sick-of-it for a while!!
