I never knew they made Village People costumes. I mean, what ten year old boy would not want to go as a cop with a handle bar mustache? The old Ben Cooper Costumes are very collectible.

I used to find costumes like that so frustrating, because I liked the masks, but I thought it was stupid to have the character's name or the show's logo written on the costume.
I was like "Mom, Fred Munster doesn't have his name on his shirt!!!"
I remember buying one of those Planet of the Apes masks, gluing crepe hair onto it, and making my own costume from some weird green polyester turtleneck of my father's. I was pretty proud of it.

"Wow...I never knew that Grinch Halloween show even existed! I guess I was a bit too old for it at 14, but I'd assume my little sister would've wanted to see it."
They aired it on one of the US networks at least once in the 80s, but I only vaguely remember it (and mainly the part I posted--which is very Pink Elephants on parade from Dumbo, which also terrified me). As was mentioned, it's all on youtube. You'd think, given the Grinch's eternal popularity, they would air it more, but the networks, anyway, seem to only now air Great Pumpkin for Halloween. I remember being terrified by the ghost pirates in the Garfield special.

Yes! Terriying (and it's also on youtube I just found).
I also loved the Disney special Halloween episode(s?) with clips hosted by a live action Magic Mirror. Part one starts here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=on9aKW7u_F8

Have any of you scary movie fans seen this little gem? It keeps piling on the madness and by the time you realize what the title is referring to, your jaw is on the floor.
It's not a perfect movie, there is a useless subplot that is supposed to work as a foil to the main story but just becomes annoying and occasionally the film falls back on some tropes that went out of style four years ago.
But if you like your Halloween movies to feature psychos then this is highly recommended.

Shy college student Madchen Amick finds an old Aztec cloak and fashions it into a sexy party dress, unaware that it makes whoever wears it lose control of their inhibitions.

Love that postcard Reg! Reminds me of the song "My Cat Fell In The Well" by the Merry Macs. By far one of the dirtiest sings ever written.Take a listen!
