Jenna & Ethan said they would not do this show again if they were given a second chance. Jenna did say though that she would 100% do "Survivor" again if she was given the chance.

Amazing Race requires 90% adrenaline overload while Survivor is more about sitting and thinking (and starving), so that response from Jenna doesn't surprise me in the least.
The tasks this season are a bit more challenging. That first one where they had to find the sign with the location in a foreign language was a total blindside to anyone familiar with the show and the memorization task was pretty difficult since clearly they could only get one listen at a time (and who knows what the audio quality was like on that phone). The sign at the orphanage was also a wrench in the works considering it was an imperative step NOT outlined in the clue. This season is really shaking things up. I was actually really proud of the older couple pulling ahead, especially when it called for an attention to detail rather than being more physically capable. Their misstep in the beginning was pretty understandable.

Posted: 10/9/11 at 11:58pmI thought the football player and his wife, Amani & Marcus, would be gone for sure tonight, but the thing about this show is that something good can happen and you stay alive. I'm glad they are still there even though they don't seem very bright because they are both very positive people.

Posted: 10/24/11 at 1:19amI thought the part where the team rode elephants was cool. I also had a feeling that the first class rule was only for airline tickets not buses, so I thought Laurence and Zac were making a mistake by getting off the bus.

I am thinking the father is going to look back on the tape and realize what an a$$ he was to his son. His son suggests doing exactly what they need to do, he says don't do it, and then when they have to go back to do it, he criticizes the son.
The father came off pretty horribly last night (IMO).

Posted: 10/24/11 at 9:51amI was REALLY rooting for Bill & Cathi to win this leg. I also think the dating couple in the yellow shirts came off poorly when they wer arguing over the cabfare, but at least they owned up to it in their commentary. Unpleasantly surprised by the snowboarders' arrogance regarding religion; the NFLer's wife seemed much more respectful. I guess karma was with the NFLer this week.

I was disappointed in the preachiness of the snowboarders too. Nothing turns me off to a contestant than christian superiority. God doesnt give a crap that you're on this race, douchebags!
Australian dad showed his true colors! Jackass!

MB - that put me off as well. As though being in a Buddhist Temple would give them the literal heebie jeebies.
The NFL player is growing on me, and actually, the twins got a pretty decent edit this week.
Right now, my favorites are (in no real order)
Amani and Marcus
Bill and Cathy
Ernie and Cindy
Justin and Jennifer are growing on me.
The snowboarders and Zac and Lawrence did not come off so great this week, and the yellow shirts hardly get any air time but I really would not care if they were gone.

That suddenly overt Jesus-ness of the snowboarders threw me, too. Nothing drives me crazier (well, maybe not NOTHING) than people on reality shows who go on about how God is guiding their win, like doodle said.
Was it Jennifer or Amani who said something to the effect of "Even though it's not my religion I wouldn't want to disrespect it"? Whomever it was, I found that to be a refreshing attitude we don't see a lot on these kinds of shows.
Amani and Marcus and Bill and Cathi are my favorites. Both couples are really supportive of each other and seem to be able to keep their humor throughout. I like Justin and Jennifer most of the time, but they both seem to have really short fuses, especially with each other. Cindy was a lot less hysterically screechy this week and she and Ernie bugged me less than they usually do.
I think Laurence is just a self-important dbag. I don't like Jeremy and Sandy, either. And I'm glad the twins were last, although they didn't bug me as much this week as they have during others.

I'm pretty sure that was Amani. So, I guess the snowboarders' god couldn't help them win this leg.
And yeah, Laurence came across really badly this week.
Tean Bill & Cathi! Although it pains me to root for someone who spells her name 'Cathi', particlarly someone who should have outgrown that nickname a couple of decades ago.

Posted: 10/24/11 at 2:58pmThe last really irritating Christians on the show were those appallingly smug models, I think they were from Texas or something. Just dreadful people, and they were FURIOUS that they lost, they were just seething.

Now I want Team Jesus to be eliminated as soon as possible. How smug and condescending, like most Christians. The one said something to the effect of, "If you read the Bible it's pretty straightforward who the one true god is." What makes the Bible the ultimate authority on anything? But anyway, they can't lose soon enough for me. And I loved the karma of that lady promising to help them and than going off to teach!
I'm all about Bill and Cathi and want them to win. However, at some point there's going to be a very physical challenge (like there always is), that will be their undoing, simply because they can't keep up with the younger teams.

Although the rank stupidity (stupidity mixed with arrogance in the case of Lawrence) of the other teams might help Bill and Cathi.
I just never understand the God-centric people who believe that God is guiding their game. I mean, they have to opportunity to travel to some of the poorest parts of the world that seem, in a word, god-forsaken. God won't help these huge swaths of Southeast Asia out of poverty, but he's invested in helping two American snowboarders win a million dollars?

Posted: 11/6/11 at 11:52pmI cannot believe that Laurence & Zac saw Amani & Marcus walk past them when they were ahead and tried to U-turn them. They are clearly not the sharpest tools in the shed.

Laurence and the two Snow Boarders get on my last nerve. The father has a judgmental arrogance that would have me petitioning for early emancipation.
I am liking Amani and Marcus more and more. Along with Bill and Cathi.

TAR's gotten as bad as Survivor when it comes to obvious editing. I knew who was going home the second the show started. When someone gives out a new piece of personal information out of the blue when starting out on the race (the guy talking about his coming out), that usually means that team is toast.
Please, please, please let the snowboarders be u-turned next week. I've hated them since their arrogance at the temple. They'd be the worst winners since Freddy and Kendra.
