What is Julie Chen wearing? A silk Snuggie?

HA! I was thinking exactly the same thing last night! Julie often has rather bizarre taste in fashion, but last night was truly WTF. It was like there was a last-minute fitting because her real outfit was too small and all they had available was a Barbara's graduation gown from One Day at a Time. All she needed was a square cap with a tassel and she could hand out diplomas.

I thought the finale ROCKED. Probably the most riveting finale in Big Brother history. They did a pretty good job, though I did want to hear more about the Michele hatred in the house. They started to teeter on hosting "The Lydia Show" and I got really tired of all the cuts to her reaction every two seconds, but I was on pins and needles from beginning to end and I found myself more giddy and excited than I anticipated.

I ended up liking Kevin, but there was no way he was getting second. If he was up against Jordan or Natalie, he would have won and Jordan knew it. I think Jordan really sealed it with some of her comments to the jury. When she illustrated that she proved she could tough it out and prevail after Jeff's eviction and that she intelligently weighed her options for the final two scenario, she had it in the bag. She rambled incoherently a couple of times, but was ultimately charming. Nat just came off as insincere and pushy as per usual and proceeded to dig her hole deeper a bit, especially when she tried to define her floating from HOH to HOH as "loyalty", which made no sense at all. And she put all her eggs into Jessie's basket, hoping Lydia would just do whatever Jessie said, which backfired on her. She knew she probably had Kevin, but didn't have Jeff or Michele and that Russell would be probably be on the fence. I have to admit, it was damn good schadenfreude when Jessie's vote was revealed.

What about Braden? He was absolutely stoned out of his gourd! You could practically see the pot fumes dissipating from his pores. I was surprised he was allowed on set.

For the record, I sincerely hope Jordan doesn't pursue a relationship with Jeff. Hopefully, once Jeff was evicted, she was able to objectively review his behavior and attitude towards her throughout their time in the house. His comments in the finale revealed only more of his true nature. From what I read, Jordan certainly engaged in her own vicious bit of hypocrisy, but it seemed to be to a far lesser degree than the majority of the house guests and I wonder if it was a combination of the stress and the influence of those around her. If provoked, I may have reacted quite similarly. I just don't get the vibe that she's a bad person. Just flawed.

I'm sure we'll find out next season if anything develops between them. I kind of doubt that something will. I'm sure it would be very different outside of the house when they're back in their own environments.

Great finale though. While I still wish Michelle could have made it, I'm glad Nat didn't get it.

Been thinking all day about how I'd love to try for it. But I don't think I'd be smart enough to make it!

I think I get my feelings hurt too easily to do it. Plus I'd never want to be away from my son for that long.

Actually, I think they make a nice couple. Neither are terribly bright or educated, but they have a great balance. I think that both of their affections were genuine...but you can't tell how it would play out on the "outside".

I found it rather refreshing how respectful Jeff was of her wishes not to do anything on screen that would embarrass her grandparents! (And of course, kudos to her for being respectful of them.)
