My favorite substitute teacher (along with many others) was a victim in the Civic Center shooting in Binghamton. She was teaching English as a Second Language at the time. She was an amazing, loving, & caring woman. Any person in the Triple Cities area was connected to her in some way.

PiraguaGuy2 just got back from a nice swim at his gym...he swam 70 lengths, which amounts to a mile's worth of swimming. His ears are filled with enough water to support a Bangdaleshi village for nine months, and chlorine makes him sleepy.

Dollypop just got back from Palm Sunday dinner at his sister's house. Many of his cousins were also there. They all had a good time.

SAMN did not place at her theatre competition, but she's fine with that because of the comments she got from the judges.

"You have two kinds of shows on Broadway – revivals and the same kind of musicals over and over again, all spectacles. You get your tickets for The Lion King a year in advance, and essentially a family... pass on to their children the idea that that's what the theater is – a spectacular musical you see once a year, a stage version of a movie. It has nothing to do with theater at all. It has to do with seeing what is familiar.... I don't think the theatre will die per se, but it's never going to be what it was.... Pianolin717 is tired but doesn't want to go to bed because he cannot stop listening to music... but isn't this ALWAYS the case? Yup! He is also excited because he purchased an amazing shirt today :)

Dollypop just cut some forsythia branches and is "forcing" them in a sunny window. Hopefully they'll be in full bloom for Easter Sunday.

Dollypop won't be around for the next few days. The Easter Triduum will be keeping him busy both at church and in the kitchen with his granddaughter. He's promised her she can help make the pignoli cookies.
