I just wanted to share my support for everyone. I battled with my weight my entire life, and I definitely see the value of WW. Unfortunately, for me, I got to a point where WW was only doing so much. I had gastric bypass surgery in December 2007. But it's by no means an easy road to weight loss. So, just wanted to give my support to everyone! weigh in

I haven't posted in this thread in such a long time! I have been going up and down recently, less than half a pound in either direction. It's frustrating! Plateaus suck.

I was down 3 this week, which feels great because even though I hadn't gotten to the gym as often as I would have liked, I put a lot of effort into eating well.

I had a good week last weigh-in (down 2.4) but I blew it this week. Hormones. And potato chips. And beer.

I weigh in in a few hours but I snuck a look at my home scale today and looks like I'm up a pound.

It's hard not to be discouraged, but I'm moving on. It's a new day. And I'm eating non-fat yogurt and low fat granola for breakfast.

Okay, so...I don't usually go for Weight Watchers products at the store as they have lots of chemicals and otherwise unnatural ingredients such as HFCS, but I wanted to get something ice-creamy at the grocery store today, so I threw out my "organic as humanly possible to find" rule and picked up some Weight Watchers Sherbet and Ice Cream bars.

Dear God. Dear. Heavenly. God. You do exist!! And in 60 calorie increments!

Their ice cream products are indeed heaven as well as those delicious snack cakes.

Now if only they would try recreating ben & jerrys flavors. Sigh.

I like most of their products, but they are a bit expensive. I love the lemon snack cakes and the new ice cream cups. However, I do prefer Lean Cuisine to Smart Ones.

Oh and after a week of barbeques, I lost .2. Not great, but my goal was to not gain.

So I think it's time for me to join this thread, too. I've struggled for years and I think I have a plan that'll work for me, but getting my discipline back is my biggest challenge.

I have a weight-related Broadway question. Since so many of the theatres are old and really small, the seats are either really uncomfortable for a bigger person and the people around them or they may not fit at all. Does anybody know which theatres are okay for bigger people and which are just miserable?

I'm super-excited. I got back from vacation last night, and this morning I learned that I managed to drop 4 pounds over the course of the week! Since I've been off-program, I've been slowly gaining. While out of town, I knew I was going to be mainly eating bad foods (pizza, steak, fast food, etc), so I decided to go on the Matthew McConaughey plan and try to break a sweat everyday. Worked like a charm. I'm so pleased!

How are ya'll doing?

I gained at least two pounds being home this week...lol. I am jumping back on plan tomorrow.

I am in love with the new Smart Ones Fruit Sensations. The turkey with cranberry is my favorite. I usually prefer Lean Cuisine, too. They put the Weight Watchers points right on the box, so either works. In fact, most healthier frozen meals have the points value on the box. (except South Beach.)

I don't do WW, but am on a program. With WW, I would eat foods that were not right for my body's chemistry, so I would not lose weight even if I followed the plan.

I don't weigh myself, but go by how my clothes feel, and how people react.

I estimate I have lost about 15-20 pounds in the first 5.5 weeks.

The main thing I cut out of my diet is wheat, diet soda, and all processed foods.

It is working for now.

Good luck everyone.

I really need to get out of my eating rut. I want to drop at least 20 lbs over the next 7 months or so and preferably as much as 40, but I can't seem to stop eating.

I've been successful on diets before, but it's hard in Texas! :)

I actually just had Anji write You're Fat in sharpie on my stomach in mirrored letters and am thinking of hanging a mirror on the fridge door for motivation.

2 weeks without any caffeine though!

Except for an iced tea last week, I have been caffeine free for about 6 weeks.

It was not hard after the first few days. And, after having some tea when I was out with friends, I did not have cravings or headaches for caffeine the next day.

You have 7 months, you can do it!

I don't throw my faith around lightly.

So, no doubt you can do this.

Just don't start to have sympathetic symptoms with Anji!

I cut out caffeine for a while and felt great, but working nights, I can't do without it these days. I could stand to cut down, though.

I'm really close to a big weight loss milestone, but it seems to be just eluding me. Frustrating!

Hm, did the board eat my last post? Okay then -

How's everyone doing?

I can now say that I'm a full 100 lbs. lighter than I was at my heaviest weight, which feels beyond great. Just a bit more to go, and then the battle is maintaining. Just goes to show you -- no one's a hopeless case. Hopefully you're all having continued success. weigh in
