I just joined both this discussion and the real meetings. Both are good, so welcome!

This is a good group - I actually found the BWW group more helpful than the WW (I lost 15 lbs last year). Good tips and recipes on this thread.

Baby Peach will be here in a little over a month, which means I will be back in the group then to try and lose the extra baby weight! Till, then, I am eating what I am supposed to (incuding my 300 extra calories per day -- which is kind of nice!). weigh in

I had always done Flex, but I think I am going to try Core. It reminds of Phase 3 of South Beach. Since I've been watching sodium for a little while anyway, I realize I eat more "Core-like" to begin with (whole grains, lots of fruits, veggies and lean proteins, "good" fats, and very little processed food). Plus I can still get my sweets and bread with those 35 points they give you on Core. The only things I don't like about Core are:

-the fat free dairy (I prefer 1% milk and lowfat yogurt over fat free. Plus I don't like the artifical sweeteners in ff yogurt).
-the whole wheat pasta (I prefer whole grain breads, brown rice and such, but when it comes to pasta, I like the white stuff best!)

I've been doing only core for a few weeks, and am getting mighty sick of all the same food all the time.

I want to know how I can be sticking to core, not even using all my weekly points, getting lots of exercise at the gym and walking around outside all day, and yet I am up in weight????

Liotte, could it be portion size? If I recall, in Core you don't have to measure everything out, but I've had friends who hit plateaus due to portion size.

I've always done Flex, so this will be new to me too (plus I am going to miss my freebie extra preggo calories!).

I think someone on this thread last year had luck doing Core foods but counting points for a week or two (a la Flex) when at plateau, although at that point, you could always just do Flex and eat what you want, which sometimes sounds better because there is more slection.

I just started Jenny Craig on Sunday. I already cheated. But I'm optimistic. My goal is 20lbs. If I lose it, then I'll try for 10 more each time.

You say you're up in weight?

It's possible you're building muscle mass. Because I've got a lot of muscle (and flab =/) but muscle is denser then fat. Trust me, since starting up my track workout for SHOT PUT (yessss) this winter, i've gained a lot more muscle

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I? I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

I don't know, I don't have a scale at home. So I'll let you know tomorrow when I do a weigh in. But ya know those feelings you just have when you've put on weight? Yeah, one of those weeks.

Someone is my office is eating french fries. The smell is everywhere. Not cool.

I only lost .6 this week. Technically it wasn't a full week, only 6 days, and I wasn't planning on going this morning so we had a very heavy dinner late last night. I am still not unhappy. I haven't been able to work out in two weeks. And hey... down is down, right? 13 weeks, 28.6 pounds and I only had one week where I was up and that was very early on.

Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

You're doing so great, JG!

I lost a full pound this week, and I'm so excited. It feels so good to be off that plateau, at least temporarily.

Thanks, Liotte. I'm really pleased. I put forth some extra effort this week, so it's nice that it paid off.

My last week wasn't so great, so I am putting in that extra effort this week. In theory, at least. My meetings aren't until Friday, so that's a long way off still!!

Down three pounds this week! 31.6 in 14 weeks. Pretty freakin' happy.

My boss started a few weeks before me and then asked me if I wanted to go. He was kicking my ass in the weight loss at first dropping 6 or 7 pounds a week. I would get frustrated. Then he started being up one week and down the next. He stopped going to meetings. He blames his renewed poor eating and resulting weight gain on a minor surgery he had and the death of a friend. I call crap. He just gave up. I guess slow and steady is the way to go.

Well, I finally went back on WW Online last week after having struggled for months.

I lost 4.7 pounds this past week. It's amazing what a lil structure can do.

The site has changed somewhat. I also had a lot more points than last time for my starting weight. This is good as I think they had it at too few points last time I did it.

I was up .4 last week. Didn't weigh in this week, but according to the home scale I just held steady. Mom was in and we were not very good...lol. Now I have the AIDS walk Sunday, so I will weigh in Monday. Jumping back on program today.

Haven't weighed in in a couple of weeks. Finals stress and whatnot. Finally stepped on a scale this morning, and I'm up 2.2 pounds. Looks like it's time to shake things up a bit.

That pic is hilarious.

We need to be ok with fluctuations. Especially in times of stress. We just need to avoid "eff it all mode". :)

I am totally in that eff it all mode, I didn't even go to meeting/weigh in last week. Will go this Friday, need to get my tuchas in gear!!!
