Seconds everything! I was just thinking about this time last Friday and having such a good time and this Friday I just worked 8 hours and came home to a crabby husband! Can we turn back the clock, please?!lol

I want to add my praises to Miss P, Mr. P, and the two little P's for making the weekend so much fun. I had the pleasure of returning a couple of days later and spending the 4th with the gang and we had a wonderful time. (Miss P. Jr. even 'adopted' me into the family. I get to stay in her room!)

It was wonderful meeting all of you and capping it all off with that incredible performance of "Mame". I'll never forget it.

I had a great time too! I loved meeting you all and Mame was great. My only regret is that I'm a total lightweight and had to drive myself home.

Thanks, everybody, for your kind words. The pleasure was truly all mine.

Isn't it amazing how so many of us came together and just had a splendid time...not a single snag. The days flew by. Perhaps there is hope for the world.

Mamie has been adopted by both of the offspring. On Monday night, as he was going to bed, my son got a little weepy and said, "I want Mamie to stay here with us and be a part of our family." (Then, you'd have to come to France with us, M!)

Orion, Undi is just needling you. I got the painting back without giving her a Harry and David's gift card. Instead, I had to buy her a Harry and David's franchise. But it's worth it because in the words of "Luke," that painting is "Mary Magdelicious." (Pssst, Janey-Waney, I did insist upon a life-time "Cheesecake of the Month" subscription for you in the deal.)

Baddy, all I have to say to you is "Take my husband, PLEASE!"

The cats are another story all together.

I'm in NYC right now and my hotel's "wireless" connection is hit-or-miss, so I have not been able to answer email, but I shall, soon. (Saw The History Boys today. I couldn't speak after I saw it. It took me about 20 minutes to recover. The play brought back to me my years as an English professor and sad memories of a close friend who passed away last January. The play is quite brilliant...although I think it went over a lot of the audience's heads, which I do not mean condescendingly.)

I will write more thoughtful comments when I get back to "normal" and before my plane takes off for the Land of Francois Truffaut, Jeanne Moreau and Georges Brassens.

How about we have a reunion on Labor Day Weekend? Can everyone make it? (We'll have lots to eat and drink--brought back from France!)
