You know, Namo, back in the day, it was fairly common to attend the theatre "drugged."
I never did, of course. I restrict all my deviant behavior to the comfort of my own home.
Yep, Namo, no concussions in the mosh pit for Miss P.

Back in the day? How else do people get through Wicked?
I'll admit that when I was the age of most who attend "Wicked," I did have a nasty little hankering for St. Joseph's Aspirin. Now that I look back, I believe it was yet another conspiracy of the Catholic Church to lure children into addiction and submission. I mean, with "St. Joseph" on the label, why would any God-fearing, Mary-worshipping, Stations-of-the-Cross-attending innocent think the drug were anything but harmless. (Not to mention the yummy Creamsicle-like flavor! Mmmmm.)
Ah. St. Joseph's Aspirin for Children. I still take one of those suckers every day. Love 'em. And Superfriends chewable vitamin's, too. What I *really* love is the yellow liquid baby vitamin syrup, but I'm too embarassed to buy 'em. Even I have *some* standards.
Iflit, can't you recruit some "kids" to go into the CVS and get them for you?

Most of us who recruit kids to get stuff for us end up having to wear ankle bracelets.
those ankle bracelets are so chic, namo.

Well, the ever-noxious Miss Pennywise (and pound foolish) gets in her dig for the Catholic Church!
St. Joseph's Aspirin for Children has nothing to do with the Catholic Church. It's named for St. Joseph, MO, where the falavor and the contents were formulated.
Apologies are in order.

"The St. Joseph brand was created in the heartland of America, by the Gerstle Medicine Co. of Chattanooga, Tennessee. The founder, Leopold Gerstle, was born in Bavaria, Germany and came to the U.S. in 1865. Many have speculated on his choice of the name St. Joseph. Some think it came from having his first business ventures in St. Joseph, Missouri. Others contend the brand was named after the patron saint of (among other things) families, children and the sick."

I blame all of my addictions, phobias, personality flaws and psychoses on the Catholic Church. After 18 years of Catholic School, I feel I'm entitled. That aspirin's name just made it easy for me this time.
Dolly, you sure do seem to know a lot about the origins of drugs. Now I know where to turn for guidance.
Speaking of addictions, Kringas just turned me on to a new one: acquisition of St. Joseph Aspirin for Children Collectible Tins.

I so wish I'd been able to be there... I left my phone at a friend's house... the joys of no land line!
This was one fabulous weekend! I can't thank Miss P or Undi enough. I'm sorry to be home and to have one hour to get to work, bleh! That doesn't give me enough time to cut these cheesecakes into individual slices and freeze them. Whoops, only kidding Miss P. I didn't take the cheesecakes~uh, your kids ate them.
p.s. Mame was great-a real crowd pleaser! MMMMax von Essen.
Yes, I made it back to Michigan in one piece and I sent Miss P's husband on his way to his destination. A great time was had by all and MAME was fabulous. We did have some excitement getting there and some funny theater happenings. Many thanks to Miss P and family for their hospitality and for initiating this event. Loved seeing people again and meeting others. Will look forward to the next BWW happening whatever and whenever it might be.

It sounds like SUCH FUN!
Did Mamie get to play?
Yes, DG, Mamie got to play and I think she might still be playing some!

Are there no pictures that can be shared? Speaking of pictures I assume the original Perez made it through the bacchanalia without a scratch? I am sorry Mame is not moving to Broadway. It sounds like a great time was had by ALL!

Here's one Sueleen-on the way back from Mame, we all stopped to look at this scenic view~
That is gorgeous! I want to be there!

Jane - I think you should have an entire thread to yourself, on which you can post your photographs, and we can oooh and ahhh.
And I'd like to be there myself.

thanks so much, DG. I did start such a thread for anyone to post their flower pictures, along with my own, but it died an early death, lol.
I know you love flowers also, so here's one for you!

THANK YOU
And I even resurrected that thread once - it's still there somewhere.
I could post a photo of four of the gorgeous women who attended, but the sheer enormity of their pulchritude would either inspire an army of stalkers or cause the BWW server to explode.
And we wouldn't want either of those, now would we?
