I didn't move here until 1999, so I only saw productions in DC on occasion.
Once, I drove down to see a production of COMPANY, and Megan Lawrence played Marta. She was a stand-out!

I didn't say you were "incorrect." I was just pointing out that you jumped to the conclusion that I am older than you. Where did you get your law degree from anyway?????
P.S. I AM older than you.

Posted: 8/30/06 at 12:45amOoh, ooh, ooh!! (I'm channeling Horschak from Welcome Back Kotter.) Other 'Company' Fans! Hooray! I drove to Cincy in April just to see it. It was WONDERFUL. Raul Esparza's 'Being Alive' was phenomenal.

Harpo, I heard Raul's version of Being Alive and it was astonishing!
Janey had a great idea...at Xmas, we can have a get-together at my house.
Now if we just knew someone who could play piano bar!

I knew I liked Janey...
I was so excited to read that the local production of Company will feature Hugh Panaro, Kendra Kassebaum, and Bobbi Kotula.
Who is Bobbi Kotula, you ask? A brilliant performer and good friend.

If you have a Christmas gathering I might be tempted to swing out there. We're supposed to have Christmas with my family this year though...
Harpo, you should have let me know you were so close when you were in Cinncy. Its only an hour from me.

Kel- I didn't think of that! I forgot where you lived...what a missed opportunity.
Seeing DD's post on the cosmopolitan bartending thread reminded me of last Christmas and how he introduced me to Chocolate Martinis. Yum.
DD - how exciting about your friend in Company at 5th Street!

LMAO!! That is a good title for a book "Decscent into Darkness"
I just typed 'decent' - that would not work at all. After all, who would read 'decent into darkness'?

DD introduced me to the wonders of the chocolate martini as well. I didn't take it quite as far as our dear Harpo though.
You guys are making me miss you all so much. That was a great night. If you guys keep this up I won't be so aprehensive about the big move.

Oh I know DD, I think it is just the magnatude of the change. Graduation, new city, new job, etc.... I am looking forward to it though. Poor DC though, imagine what will happen when we can get together on a more regular basis?
